Mavic Ksyrium SL Premium.

It's quite nice. Maybe remove the TEAM script and put some Tune wheels and seatpost on it as well and then hammer the fuck out of it. Not metaphorically speaking.

This is going to be good.

A friend who knows a lot about classic bikes was waxing lyrical about the Gazelle AA frames, apparently they are the best of the era.

That's good to know!
I'm hoping that I do the frame justice... -

Very nice frame! I wanted to buy this frame as well when it was offered a while back, but the seller never responded unfortunately. This was my plan:
Yours sound good as well!

Thankfully it was saved from that ugly chainset ;)
This is gonna look good! Unsure on the forks though, interested to see how that pans out.

Nice... Been keeping an eye out for this project! - you still have those TdF shifters? Currently building a neo-retro gazelle, mix of 80s campag and silver SRAM rival 10speed...

Those forks :'(
Oh the memories -

Definitely go with carbon fork.

Ah! Yeah, it took me a while to actually get my hands on the frame... and unfortunately its been in the attic for ~2 years since.
I think I remember you posting this mock-up in the CP thread when I was considering a 7700 chainset with modern groupset combo. -

Haha!
I'm thinking that if I were to go the threadless route, 1" Columbus Minimal's might look a bit more fitting... Hmm... -

No, my circumstances changed and the TdF shifters got sold-on.
The frame came close to being sold too :(Your neo-retro Gazelle was actually one of a few builds that gave me inspiration for this! I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks with the Hope x Archetypes...

You bought the GT Edge frame, right?
The frame & forks did look great together...Do I remember reading that you were in an accident? was the frame written off?

Noted. +1 for carbon fork.
Any thoughts on what colour to get it re-sprayed?I was thinking black, with a red band on one of the fork legs.....

I was in an accident but it was the GT that replaced the written off frame so it's still going. Not with me though, not sure who's got it now. It was a bit big for me anyway
I've been collecting parts for a while, with the intention of getting this frame built-up and on the road.
The frame itself is a Gazelle Team Frame; an AA-Super from 86/87.
Unfortunately it has been repainted, but I actually quite like the colour scheme.
I now have a full SRAM Red 10 speed groupset and a few extra bits for the build.
