Spotted a Bullitt in Ealing on a couple of mornings last week, riding down Sutherland Road / Sutherland Avenue, with an enclosed canopy. Looks good and goes like it rides well.
Also DHL seem to be using them for cargo bikes in town. -

frank9755,
That might be me on our Douze?! :) We have a white Douze with step-through frame, canopy and Alfine 8. I love riding it, but best of all our nipper likes going in it which was the point in buying it.
kboy,
Posted a couple of comments on the Cargo Bike thread, just search "Cargo" and it'll come up top of the search. It handles a lot better than the Bullitt which scared the shit out of my wife as it's a lot more twitchy. I was gutted as I really wanted a Bullitt as it's more stretched and its position is like a 90s mountain bike. The Douze has cable steering which works really well and enables you to do really tight manoeuvres through traffic whereas other cargo bikes will come unstuck due to track rod limiting the lock. But I have also found it really useful when parking the bike and fitting it in the garage.
It's got a double seat for kids with harnesses and the canopy is really well made too. Downside is cost as it costs a few hundred more than the Bullitt, but my wife will ride it happily which is essential.
Let me know if you want to test ride it...
Ta!

I thought it was a Bullitt but I've never seen a Douze, so maybe they look similar. It was white with a black canopy, I've not seen another round here. I'll shout next time I see you!
I'm considering between the two so interesting comments on the handling. -

Normal bullitts are delivered as a frameset with all the components loose. The headsets are in but everything else needs to be mounted.

Ordered a bullitt on Saturday. It's the most expensive thing I've ever bought. This better be the success I'm hoping for.

Sorry for the spammage guys but I'm selling a Christiania trike with child seat in. Not exactly a Bullit so may not appeal but just in case there might be some interest...

Got the Bullitt delivered yesterday. Took it for a 15k spin with the daughter upfront. I loved it. She loved it. Roll on summer!

good shout on your bullitt. I have carted both my kids around in my bullitt over the past years and they love it. as you say come the summer it gets more fun. watch out for stuff going over board.
Just got swedish pricing for a few different setups. This'll be quite an investment, almost twice what our car is worth...
The Swedish retailer adds about £200 to the €-prices on larryvsharry.com but justifies it by saying he'll deliver the bike fully built. If I get it straight from larryvsharry.com how much puzzling will there actually be? Do I have to build the whole thing, set up gears etc, or just turn the handlebars 90º and ride off into the sunset?
