  • "Mike and Kristof are both back on their bikes Mike took a break half the length of Kristof (about 3 hours 1 think) Seb Dunne rode long and jumped to 3rd"

  • Need some dedicated (unemployed) types to link the tracker data with on-the-ground info and create a MegaSuperFeed™

  • Basically unemployed... Mike's last big break was about 16 hours ago and for less than 2hours. It does also look like he's taking some mini-breaks e.g. about an hour ago it looks like he took a 30 minute break although that could easily be a toilet, puncture, bad signal etc.

  • The tracking website has enough nerdy features to analyse all you need, if you select the riders you want to compare (other options available), it creates a distance/time chart which you can use to compare the breaks and such (you'd have to be there to actually know whether they slept, took a dump or just fixed a flat)

  • ah didn't see that. Must be hidden!

  • Also, looking at the last 20/25h it seems like Mike hasn't been able to keep the same average speed as Kristof (flatter line in the chart)

  • Show advanced features, then you should have the chart icon available

  • nice one. Thanks.

    That's a great chart.

Mike's pace is slowing to kristoff. Not surprising given his greater sleep debt.

  • Thing is I haven't even had time to play with the tracking site.

I'm better at dealing with words anyway I reckon.

"Stopped for massive shit, three riders went by..."

  • I'm fine with numbers, I just need the unemployed bit to fullfill the requirements..

  • Steals chart, posts on twitter!
    Good leg work.

  • I think one of Kristoff's strongest point is that he wastes no time, according to Mike's tweets he had to adjust the bike fitting.. that's probably one of the stops at t=40h, if you remove any of those two you have Mike in front/a more rested Mike..

  • One of those things, Kristof runs like a swiss watch.

  • Mikes got more fight than a fighting dog. He's not over till it's over. So it's a long way from over.

  • I remember Kristoff's graph from TCR last year, he's a bloody metronome. Hopefully Mike can settle into a rhythm with all the teething issues he's having.

    Cyborg

  • Frank coming up to remembering to turn at the end of the long straight

  • Sarah in 5th, looks like Mike is resting up a bit more this time.

  • Mike's just had a 6.5 hours rest but now has 147km to catch up. He should have the wind with him for a bit.

The others have closed the gap (40km) on him a bit but he's certainly less sleep deprived

@frank9755 has been going on well - the graph looks like he's not really rested in over 24 hours, perhaps heading to Eucla (260km away) for an early (relative) nights sleep?

Meanwhile at the back of the pack is Paul Ardill, 74, who is 565km in and should get to Coolgardie today

  • Pulled out A big advantage overnight by the look of it .
