  • FYI, a pack of Quorn Picnic Eggs sits perfectly in the loop.

    10/10 info

  • Pics or it didn't happen.

  • Did anyone find bar extensions for these? I can only seem to find the controltech ones in 23.8mm

  • Had a gossip with Alpkit.

    They still have some Fu-Manchu's
They didn't piss off Jones, he wasn't worried about it apparantly. Joneses distributor wasn't overly happy at competition. So rather than cause a fuss Alpkit just changed the design.

I didn't buy the bars but i did grab a multi tool from them.

  • Am soon to embark on wrapping the centre and stedloop. Any examples of perfect tape jobs to emulate? Will be leaving a 1" gap at the middle of the loop for garmin mount.

  • try and insert piccy.......

  • That's exactly what I want to achieve. Thanks!

  • Oh it gets better.

Red wine powered google-fu time edmundro. And i just learnt how to insert images, on a roll today.

  • Just replaced my Jones bars with these as they're slightly less aesthetically taxing. Had to drop 10mm off the stem length to get the same fit as the bar clamp is further back. Otherwise they're identical.

ControlTech extenders won't fit in these (unlike the jones) as the wall thickness of the alpkit ones are higher.

For Snoops. Try putting them closer AND higher. Standing fit is defined by the handlebar to bb length. You don't want to change that length at all, just have the rearmost hand position higher and closer so it feels like a jump bike. The length of the bars forward allows you to still get an xc stretch whilst having it be really playful at the rearmost position.

    p.s £75 on ebay!

  • ControlTech extenders won't fit in these

fucking fuck I ordered some yesterday!

  • Whys everyone widening their bars? The fu manchus are pretty massive already by my standards. Perhaps they just look big on Liz's tiny troll!

  • They're just a bit crowed at for me around the grips

  • There's x2 versions of the ControlTech externders, no? One for road dia. bars and the other for mtn. They use an expanding wedge clamp (like bar-end shifters/brake levers) so don't see why they're couldn't account for a little variation on wall thickness.

  • I got the 22.2 ones so hopefully they'll fit, I'll report when they get here.

  • Mine were the 22.2 versions. A bit of file work will make them fit, but not out of the box.

  • They've all gone but I need another set. Anyone got too many?

    Cheers!

  • I also need a second pair if anyone has some going spare. Not prepared to pay the hype tax on eBay!
Would also be up for titec j-bars...

  • I have a set of Titec H-bars that I picked up on here but are sitting unused...?

  • You got pm

  • H bars are different though.... They have a rise

  • Going on a new build so can adjust accordingly I hope. Tons of j-bars on eBay(no rise) as well.

  • I've got some j bars...I'm hanging on to them though......

    Due to hoarding, mostly.

  • Monstour hoarding is the new arrospok collection...

  • It's not my fault....it's an affliction, inherited from my ancestors.

  • Tried an experiment on the stedloops....cut and glued two pairs of oury grips to make them fit nice....and the outer pair are glow in the dark ones :0)
