You’re non gramable
-
• #528
True though. In all honesty I'm more surprised that you have SMPs since you're gram king
-
• #531
SMP is a marketing con and anyone who falls for it deserves their bike to look like someone microwaved the saddle.

A) Very comfortable! I think it's all about the angle. If I had a TT bike or something similar it would go on there straight away.
B) Yep, trying to get some cheap 75s or 7710s if possible. Otherwise is Pistas on credit...
C) Yes the stem is glittery. No I didn't do it. I like it. -

Wavey, limp and droopy is never going to look better than short, stumpy and broad.
-
• #535
Neither of them look brilliant, but at least the Power is a design that works.
Either way, the '16/'17 Romin is the best looking and best fitting saddle so everything else is scrabbling for second place.

Anyone want to buy a set of DA9000 brakes? £100?
-
• #538
maybe, what's the history ?
-
• #539
I think after 7900 Shimano wanted to come up with a new groupset, they called it '9000' and designed the brakes.

I'm just getting a dig in before it disappears past me round Regents!
-
• #541
but i'm a confused. does this comes after man invented wheel ?

powermeter, r8000 brakes, silca frame pump and new pedals turn up for the Genesis tomorrow
also broke up with my missus, so tonnes of riding time reclaimed.
happy days

Seriously though, I hope you're well, excited to see the Genesis when built and let's go test it out!

R8000 brakes over da9000?
-
• #545
Yep. Need the extra tyre clearance. My genesis can just about get 28s under the brake bridge but I was having to fuck about to get the brakes not to scratch. R8000 will just take away the hassle.
They'll work just as well, if not better. I have faith in Shimano.
-
• #546
They clear 29mm and have an mm or 2. I am a huge fan, tempted to get the R9000 but that will be unnecessary.
-
• #547
@amey when has that concept ever stopped you?! #buyerstatus
-
• #548
This gives me faith that I may get 28s in my volare. Hmm.
-
• #549
Loads of room in my Volare with 28c Corsas and Campag Chorus brakes (which are better than Shimano)
-
• #550
My Volare is small, and I may have done a lil filing work on the brake bridge to make it clear. It is extremely tukt right now.
@umop3pisdn campag brakes are one of the worst things about the entire campag groupset universe, and considering that includes thumbies... it's a big diss.
he wont let go, SMP is better, he wont accept that as its not gram-able.
