They're investigating whether the stem and bars allow for it, and if so it will be bar-end.
In the top tube? I doubt it. Do people do that?

It is one of the options for the bar end junction box

The only way out of the top tube if not drilled for it is through the headtube. Which is full of forks. So you'd have to drill your steerer, once if you want cables coming out of the top cap, twice if you want it hidden in the stem, then drilling your bars etc. Doesn't sound easy. Or safe.

The junction will be moved to the bar-end, from frame to bars it will follow the hydro-brake cable.
I'm opting for that, but am good to collect on Monday and wait for them to have the part and then return to have it swapped over.

On my Moots, I installed the bar end junction box into a pair of 3T Ergonova Team Stealths which have standard internal cable routing like any other bars. Took a bit of fettling and also had to buy Shimano's Y-lead and a lot longer down-tube cable but all worked out nicely. All internally routed now, works just like the old one and looks 100 times cleaner and neater.
That Seven is unreal BTW. Nicest build and colour I've seen in a long long time. Congrats man, you must be stoked. T -

Down tube surely... and yeah, I didn't want that.

Also... going back to page 1 where I've edited the first post to put the finished thing... holy fuck am I happy.
It has turned out really nice. The bike looks lovely and I think it works really well.
The junction box location is a minor thing, and it looks great regardless.

I think it can go wherever you want.
They do make a bracket so the bar end shifter can be frame mounted. Though I prefer bar end placement.

Not on steel/Ti bikes though.
Mmmmmaybe on an HSS DT if its 'square' enough.

I think it looks great but those wheels aren't doing it for me. Way too DEEEEEEEP and covered in logos.
What bars do you have on it?
-
• #797
Also would have gone Sotto Voce for the CK headset to match the Enve stem.
-
• #798
PRO Bars, for the bar-end junction support. Also, they were the correct width and feel for me.
The wheels I love :)
The yellow stickers will be removed as soon as I touch the bike.
Headset matches the hubs.

The yellow stickers will be removed as soon as I touch the bike.
Crisis averted.
The silver seat post clamp must be ironic
