  • Have made another change.

It's not yet painted, and I noticed that they've released some 20th anniversary head badges... which suddenly puts the head badge back in the realm of being attractive.

    So I have added that.

  • i have planetx stainless steel cages and I quite like them

  • just got one of those myself too (i think maybe after seeing them on your thread) nice cages for a fiver!

  • King Ti are great cages, they grip the bottle well enough for XC and hold up well to mud and grit unlike gloss carbon which looks shit after using your bottle after just one wet gritty ride. This is a 4 season/all road bike no?

  • This is a 4 season/all road bike no?

    Maybe.

I was thinking more a pub beater.

  • Just put sora on it then.

  • For a pub ride?! Are you crazy!?

Sora doesn't come with a power meter, the real use of a power meter is to know just how smashed you were the night before.

  • know just how smashed you are on the way home from the pub

    FTFY

  • one of my top 10 segments in London was after a heavy session at the rake, on CS8.

  • on CSB

  • ^ why we need rep

  • The wheels are in the country.

Which means... after just over 3 months I have:

    • Wheels
    • Stem
    • Seat post

And somewhere out there... is a frame.

Good progress being made, won't be held up at all on the Shimano groupset as Madison will obviously have lots of stock and turn this around in no time.

Said no-one ever. I had to order stuff from Wiggle in the end due to new Ultegra coming out. Ordered group through Madison then the group just disappeared from the site and the order wasn't fulfilled. And nowhere had the Ultegra Di2 shifters in stock so had to source through eBay eBay. Right PITA.

  • I was joking :)

Shimano seem to be playing a game with Madison at the moment, rumours abound but I pretty much expect that I'll be caught in this mess.

  • I know this :-) I was merely highlighting just how bad it is!

  • I got access to Dura Ace 9100.

    50% mark-up

  • My mate runs a bike shop, told me that from next year Madison won't be distributing Shimano. Was suggesting Shimano would be distributing directly to shops, I think? He was royally fucked off with Madison as it's more expensive for him to order most stuff from them than it is for consumers to buy from Wiggle or CRC.

  • Page 24?!

Do we have a frame and fork yet?

    Almost.

It's been shipped from the Seven factory, delays both with Enve providing the fork and with the Seven paint shop were why this has take 4 months rather than the advertised 5-7 weeks.

    That said... I'm excited.

Need to get the wheels, stem and seat post over to Cyclefit, and Cyclefit are busy ordering the Shimano stuff.

    The Shimano stuff is roughly:

    • Dura Ace Di2 9170 (the hydraulic brake stuff)
    • Power meter cranks

It's the bling end of the scale.

One never knows, but perhaps there is suddenly hope that this will be ready in time for the Dunwich Dynamo (my optimism has given way to rides at least 1+ month away).

  • Oh, and it is still pink.

  • Will they be the Shimano 9170 Power meter cranks?

  • They will be Shimano Dura Ace Power Meter cranks.

9170 refers to the hydraulic system and not the PM cranks.

    These are the cranks: http://www.duraace.com/global/en/power-meter

  • You got the 9170 levers?

  • 9170 = Dura Ace hydraulic disc brakes and levers.

    Yes :)

  • Ohhhhh nice, didn't realise they were out, may have to have a look for myself...
