The suspense is killing me

Just to add to the suspense I sent Richard a text this morning (around half eight I think) and have yet to receive a response- so currently it's Schrodingers track bike.

Fingers crossed you get it. It's a cracker.

Just spent an hour building one brake for the bike, I have a bit of OCD on this stuff. Brake calipers marked up 1983 (Weinmann 500's) but had probably only been used for a couple of hours in total.

Brake stripped, degreased, each friction surface then polished before greasing and assembly. It takes time to polish each brass washer separately until they shine. As ever spent a good 5 minutes till I was happy with the tension through the lock nuts on the spring.

My wife thinks I'm crazy on this stuff. Before the bottom bracket was put in it had the same treatment as above, with each bearing polished as well as the cup surfaces and this was a brand new bottom bracket.

Looking forward to Dammit's face when he rides it.

Nicely bagged....vic edwards made some wonderful stuff!

I really wish this bike had been an inch or so bigger. I love it!

It's a great bike- in perfect condition, the drivetrain has a degree of silence that I've never achieved with my other fixed gear bikes.

I'd love to ride it to work tomorrow but a) I've got no brake lever that'll fit and b) it's a Pista CS on the back that Richard recommended that I re-glue AND c) I've not re-glued it.
