  • Looks like you enjoying the bike mate...it shown your rear tyre...;)

  • Hit me up with your secrets to silent Izumi chains! Because I got a new one, haha
A friend of mine brought me these from the actual shop

Even has an all black master link unlike the Jet Black

Comes with aluminium bar ends and Mash finishing tape. Not sure if I'm gonna use them though. I don't want to show my fanboyism too much

Did I wrap bar tape wrong all these years? I do it the other way round

  • I also wrap the handlebars the other way around. I think it’s nicer and cleaner this way.

  • I don't mind the look because I honestly don't see the difference. But this way the bar tape unwraps itself while riding, doesn't it?

  • yes you did it wrong.
du schabst das beim runtergreifen doch ab!

  • Ja, wenn ichs so wickel wie aufgedruckt. Weil ich eher innen greife und gegen die Wickelrichtung drücke. Oder nicht?!

I stand by it, Mash way is the wrong way

  • Mash way is right way :). Otherwise you're pushing onto the edges of the bar tape while in the drops, applying shearing stress that could lead to unwrapping! :o

  • I heard you! I'll blame you guys if the tape doesn't hold up

I finally had the chance to acetone off the ugly ass logos.

One of the few cities in Europe with a proper skyline

I'm digging the monochrome look. 50 shades of grey

The remaining coloured things are the straps, tyre and rust on the seat clamp bolt, lol

  • I really wish it would fit fatter tyres. GP 4000 S II and GP Classic still holding up really well on rough trails with peaksy rocks.
Drop bars weren't the best choice for steep sections but quite nice, especially on narrower paths with trees and branches all over the place

    @Thuekr ✌️

  • Swapped the shitty Thomson bolts for more lightweight and aero titanium bolts from the Zipp. Stupid M3, rounded 2 bolts already. (don't blame my incapability to screw in bolts properly)

  • can i see a photo of a crankset from above? Are you satisfied with BB Sugino CBB-SG75? Is the chain line correct?

  • It never let me down so it's alright. I took it out to regrease the threads a few times while cleaning the bike but never had the need to. Bearings still hold up very well after 2 years.

Chain line is 43.5 mm, so 1.5 mm off to the rear hub (seat tube is 35 mm). That's weird. I never checked and assumed it's 42 mm

  • Sugino's website also says 42 mm for the CBB-SG75 with Sugino 75 Criterium. I can't imagine that these are different cranks. I'll check the spindle length tomorrow.
Does anyone knows how long the regular 75 bb is?

  • CBB-SG75 - 111 mm
    sugino BB 75 - 109 mm ( should be 42 mm )
on my bike Sugino 75 crankset + sugino 75 BB njs and Hubs Suzue pro max (35 мм) + cog dura-ace (7.05 мм) (it's important too) rear wheel chain line 42.05
    I don't understand why Sugino manufactured the CBB-SG75 with 111 shaft ...

  • Sugino answer:
We don't disclose the dimension information.
CBB-SG75 is designed to give a good chainline (42mm) with SG75 crank,
the dimensions are the same as BB-SG75.

  • How did you measure the rear chain line that exactly?

  • One more message from Sugino. Strange why then you have 43.5mm ..

SUGINO75 Series use a proprietary taper.
So, CBB-SG75 should be used only with Sugino75 cranks to creat the chainline 42mm.

  • It certainly is not 109mm

  • Rear chain line is somewhat around 42mm. Measured 42.5mm (88mm/2-3mm/2) roughly.
    I guess it's not a big issue running 1mm off on 1/8"

  • thanks for the photo!)

  • We made a summer christmas tree yesterday. It ended up with hammering the chainring into my top tube
