What is this loon doing out on his own? Is there anyone else between him and the peloton? Other time gaps haven't been given. Did he just tootle off on the road on his own, or did he have very flaky breakaway pals?

Millar reckons there's quite a big difference in the wet (generally). He was also talking about tyre pressure too though, he reckoned a lot had their tyres pumped up too hard. He had quite a bee in his bonnet about it :)

The countryside is nice. This is why my parents started watching the TdF. Then they slowly got interested in the racing.
