I went sub 3, so happy. Borek was fastest forumenger with 2:35 ( I think) which landed him 26th - super solid.
Kenway won it in 2:18, Mundy 2:20, Lowden 2:21? Bussell down in 7th.

Great work man!

Is that a caad10?
-
• #133
It's whatever the top Cannondale road frame is. Super ultra Caad 15.

• #134
I thought CTT regs said you had to have two working brakes?
-
• #135
Not if it's a sweet fixie!

• #136
Mmmmmm... magic gear
-
• #137
Also said "tadros has been getting away with the brake rule"
-
• #138
That one seems to be relaxed for hillclimbs

Superb day out. Finally just got back to Norwich after some lengthy delays getting out of Matlock meaning I missed my train, and totally lost my voice, but well worth it.
Got right up in the faces of @Borek and @theoj on their runs and hopefully helped a little. DASd @umop3pisdn while he was warming up but was fully immersed in the rowdy Sheffield Uni lot by the actual effort, so think my other shouts were probably lost amongst the other lairy folk.
Fantastic effort by all three of you though - certainly made my day having more people to look out for as my mate went off 15th.
Justice for Kenway in the end. Don't there there could have been a more popular winner this year.

Thank you very much for the encouragement, made what was a very unpleasant ride a bit nicer. My already poor ride was blighted by a bit of wheel slip killing momentum on the steepest part, but such is life-there's always next year.
Nice to see a club mate come in 2nd though, a real result.

The Sheffield Uni section was definitely the place to be. Great atmosphere today

Encouragement always appreciated, and shouts of names (forum or irl) normally cut through the noise.

• #143
Considering the pain faces some of you were pulling I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't hear ANYTHING. Chapeau Andy - good job up the hill and good to see ya again

4 kilo

Strange bike. So much money, still got deep rims, 2 brakes, spacer stack, drop bars and heavy pedals. Sub 3.7kg should be easy
-
• #146
probably set up double brakes for training since the season is over
-
• #147
Then why be still using an expensive drivetrain and rims? Youd see more improvements using a stock 8kg alu bike
-
• #148
Two brakes are teh rulez for hill climbs. Unless you ride fixed.
Deep rims are for aero probably.I dunno. I'd wait for someone who races hill climbs to have some input.

I didnt consider it might be SS. Still doesnt excuse not cutting the drops off
And spending clavicula money on cranks but not using aerolite pedals -
• #150
Maybe the pedals interact better with the rider.
Jesus.
How did it all go, or should I go to the hc thread?
