WC1 collective? £150 a ticket

• #379
So with all those German bits on there, maybe it is high time for the Taunusanlagenkollektiv. :)

The EC1 vom-velo gets a feature in this GCN video
(from 30 secs). The cabling looks so fucking ridiculous. At least they changed that white bartape that looked like the sort of bandage you might come out of the sexual health clinic with.
What a mess.

I think all that stuff has to go back to tune once the show's over, so they can't cut the cables. And the etap doesn't work. It's just blips and a rear mech.

It's the cycling equivalent of a folly.
-
• #383
I doubt tune would care that much about some hoses, and I assume the system had to be separated at some point to fit the internal routing, unless - and this kinda makes sense in hindsight, its been set up dry anyway, as its a show bike

Who comes out of a sexual health clinic covered in bandages?
-
• #385
Someone with Band-Aids

The Hylex singlespeed lever can't be that heavy to go for that.
It probably still be under 6kg with it.

This thing is under 4kg (apparently), looks nicer and is more practical

• #389
Dat ratio tho

As seen today, at the Rouler classic show. What an utter bastard of a thing...

I might have a go at making one of these - or, rather, what I'd have made instead.
SE26 Collective, if you will. It's been a while since I've made a truly silly bike.

• #394
Will you have a matching team kit?
-
• #395
It'll have to be fluro
-
• #396
Are you seeking other high net worth, like minded individuals to collaborate with?
-
• #397
Nah, this collective will be made up entirely of DIY enthusiasts.

I could ask the cats whether they prefer Zipp to ENVE I suppose.
-
• #399
SE26 Masses perhaps?
-
• #400
But that said some collaboration would be fun, suggestions and observations welcome.
The HNW thing can get to fuck though.
No reason to only make a single frame, also.
Off the top of my head I'd be tempted to go with a mix of XCr (head, down, top tubes) with a carbon ISP, with a wishbone rear end, TIG'd and epoxied.
