I've been putting some miles on my 753 Merckx. First bike I've ever owned with downtube shifters and toe clips and straps, which I'm still getting used to, but its such a smooth ride, and in the sunshine was getting lots of love out on the road.

I’ve just picked this lunatic up. Apparently it was built for a Welsh commonwealth team rider for the 95 games.

That’s very lovely. As a fellow Welshman I would be very interested if you ever sell it!

Have just become the proud owner of this Reynolds 753 Cougar built for Malcolm Elliot. Literally picked it up yesterday so have had no time to properly run my eye over every inch but will try and see what she has to reveal soon.
Will try and contact Terry Dolan and Malcolm Elliot and get their take on sizing etc etc.

^Beauty (as is the Cougar on the previous page).
My 753 Steel with puncture...
I think it might possibly be an ex common wealth bike from the 80s - it has a twin brother somewhere built in 653, with better paint.
I think Martrac was either a brother and sister, or husband and wife operation from somewhere north...
If I rebuild it, I'll take better pictures.
