I got grifos online in nl , think about 40 euros a piece, so was cheaper than uk
there is a shop in Zwijndrecht , just outside Antwerp who sells them cheap as well, shop called primator if I remember rightly

got the world champ jersey or a Colnago one to wear , as yet no cap
I saw this tennis type headband, but cannot get it deliverd in time
when i was 12 in 84 , as far as I was aware,if you wore a head band in a non tennis capacity you were part the Zulu Nation

Are you happy with how it rides?

I just tried some washers on the bar end shifter to absorb vibrations and maintain torque, washers did not fit , so locktighed the very end, eating a plate of pasta now so can field test this afternoon
ride wise, I have quite a lot of experience riding this brand like to think I can flip one on a coin in the saddle
this does not disappoint , there is an area round the corner with 5 different types of terrain within a small area, road, grass,mud, gravel , red asphalt type, this smashes straight through no problemo , handling round corners is if not on par, then not far off a Nuovo Mexico, sweet up a hill climb, wasn't out of saddle

well, just spoke to the wonderfully sympathetic Laura at the factory,
who managed to understand the gibbering wretch at the end of the line (me)
she told me they don't open the factory to the public, bit shoot her an email
and she said she'll get back to me today
i almost followed through in all the excitement

Thanks, I met a guy from California with a Nuovo Mexico in same decor with a team riders name on it, when I bought I was told it was a team bike
Just left the factory, Alex Colnago confirmed bike original, I had a tour of the museum with Laura, I told her I get asked a lot about vintage and was there any catalog info she could give me, I also said if she likes I would be happy to deal with their " traffic" regarding vintage ;0) , she said they will deal with their own traffic but will send me cat PDFs and that she was happy for me to continue, I then went and thanked Alex, and Laura took me into Mr Colnago's office, where I was pictured with the man himself, and shook hands with him, really nice aura tbf
Laura asked where I was from, I said Irish descent, living mainly London, but my heart is in Cambiago, which she translated to The Man
He went to a cupboard and pulled out one of the brands "history" books, signed and and dated it from him to me
He asked if I did L' eroica, I said yes and showed him my 'wounds' , we laughed and I said "Vai Colnago!"

137 km in l'eroica in under 8 hrs with two down hill crashes and a few hill walk ups, did the " concurse" and met The Man, all in all , I feel it was a successful mission
