Keen to find out where I can get 64 Sapim Race for £20 too
-
• #278
State your lengths wink

• #279
That was a sexy wink by the way...

• #280
If you're willing to bring the parts to Brighton then sure. Tag me a few more times and I'll do it for free
-
• #281
Well I've bought the rims. Remains to be seen what I do with them, if a cheap complete set comes up I'll get those and just keep the rims for another day.
-
• #282
What did you get?
-
• #283
The £8 WTB ST i25 from Planet X. Very impressed with my 700c i23 (apart from weight).
-
• #284
I've already got two wheel sets with them they're good. My third set are for my cx bike
-
• #285
Those are cheap as chips, I think I'm gonna grab some to build onto slx hubs for my mtb, as I'm currently using rims with 20mm internal width which works but isn't ideal.
-
• #286
Any reason to not go RS505 rear hub on this so that I can fit 11spd road stuff if I want to? 10spd MTB will work with a spacer right?

Tyrez. Might be snug, in the fork at least. About 48mm or so but that's with minimal pressure.

I'll be interested to hear how they perform. I'm thinking of getting something like WTB Byways for my new wheelset.
-
• #290
I'm actually not sure if they'll fit my fork
-
• #291
I have the old quick release fork and surely there's no clearance for that. Interested to see how much you can put in the newer one
-
• #292
Really? 42mm tyres in mine at 700c. Can't see how 48 at 650 would be a problem. Probably not room to spare for mud but they'd fit I should think
-
• #294
2015 I think, full carbon fork too. Like I said though, I've not got a 650b wheel, nor knobbly 2" tyres so I'm just chatting shit
-
• #295
I have the 2015 singlespeed, full carbon fork, quick release, do you have thru axle? Also there's internal cable routing now
-
• #296
No, QR too.
internal cable routing now
Ooh is there? Don't suppose I'd even be able to find one on its own anyway
-
• #297
My 2016 has internal routing too... anyway I'll take tyre + rim home tonight and see if it'll fit.
-
• #298
Er so yeah, neither the 2" S-Works knobblies of 2" Refuse slicks fit the fork.
New fork, or new frameset? Inclined to do a more rigid MTB kinda build now but rigid 650b frames don't seem to exist so that means 29er... which is getting some way away from the original brief.
-
• #299
You wouldn’t just be happy with slightly smaller tyres? They gotta be knobbly?
-
• #300
Er so yeah, neither the 2" S-Works knobblies of 2" Refuse slicks fit the fork.
SAD :(
If it fits in the back, new fork is a cheaper fix?
Sounds like @Turkish is volunteering to me. @Turkish is gonna lace my next wheels, aren't you @Turkish
