I had not heard of pinrolling before either.
It is probably one of the easiest hacks I have ever done. 10/10 would do again -

What about just tucking trousers in socks? If you saw me riding (or off bike for that matter) you would see that aesthetics are not one of my strong features. Unless I am counter culture. Then I am very chic

I've tried, but the socks either didn't hold very well or were too tight.

then these might be the sartorial elegant answer you were looking for.

Does no-one use these any more?

What is the point you are trying to get across?
You're obviously satisfied with your method, and I don't believe I was trying to persuade you or anyone else to do it my way. -

The ones I have keep slipping of the bottom of the trouser leg and rendering themselves useless, but ymmv

Stop skipping leg day bro

on the topic of trouser clips, my sister bought me a pair of these for christmas a couple of years back - they're more rounded so don't slip off and they're a total revelation for winter commuting. No mucky jeans and they prevent cold breezes up the leg

Riding an analogue bullitt every day is leg day.

Sorry no offence just got carried away down the wrong rabbit hole .
For what it’s worth I’ve just been practicing pinrolling for the first time and have ordered a pile of poppers for my trousers, because I realised I quite often wear sandals. -

Aye good idea. There are some there but I might have put them on t wrong side of the bracket. As it is now they are up against t body of t light.

I realize my wording could be considered harsh - and I think I know where you’re coming from, having been down a similar rabbit hole trying to find a simple and neat solution when the socks and clips didn’t work out.
I wouldn’t mind some plus fours and long socks, but I had a hard time finding something financially viable and I already have trousers that I like.

The spring adjusters on my Paul cantis corroded disappointingly quickly and I really wasn’t up for paying £30 for new ones which I was sure would just do the same again.
I was also needing a set of pads for them and came across the Dia Compe Fiesta pack for their bmx brakes. Funky green pads and spring adjusters for the grand total of £11 per brake.
I wasn’t sure the sorting adjusters would work and when they turned up they are missing a little projection from the underside that’s on the Paul ones but a v brake washer fits there perfectly.
There’s a fancy ti version of the fiesta pack if you really wanted to push the boat out.

100% digging this. And relevant to my interests.
What’s the pad performance like?

What’s the pad performance like?
Good question. Ran these on a bmx a while ago and think they were good for that. I’m missing the frame they will go on so a little while till I can ride it and see.

Is the bit at the start related to the process? At the end he seems to have just slid some paracord around the rim I can't see the point of the first bit?
I'm a pinroller (just learned that expression) but only for on the bike
Though I very much like the popper idea, less drafty
