Very true. I’m still working through a giant tub of less easily reusable ones that I got years ago.

What front light is that?

4yo got a magic key for Xmas they loved. Unfortunately they repeatedly smacked it against the fire guard and it broke.
MUM: "WTF dude!"
4yo: "don't worry dad can fix it"
ME: "Ummm... no he can't as it'll just rebreak at the stress point"
4yo: "what about you out a bandage around it?"
ME: "Hold my beer."

Anyone got a good bodge for fitting a dynamo light to the front of a rack? Need something solid enough that the light won't be bent forwards!

L brackets work, or disc brake adapters are popular for this. Some people cut a chainring too depending on where mounting will be.

Depends a little on the rack.
+1 for disc brake adapters, but realistically any small piece of sheet metal with two holes in it and some nyloc nuts/threadlocker and you're good to go after some fettling -

I did this
Pretty sure I have a spare one of these brackets, if it helps (and I’ll check I have it tonight), happy to stick it in the post foc

Is that rack attached to the head tube somehow? All kinds of bonkers
-
• #2742
it's just the rack stays bolted in front of the seat tube with a bit of rubber to add some friction isn't it?
however it's fitted, I certainly wouldn't want to rub any body parts up against it in a crash scenario.

Handy way to transport a spare rim? Just weld back together when needed

Nice fix
You can also get reusable zipties!
