I meant the brake cable housing on the left but now that you mention it, would it be possible to bend the angle slightly on the guide pipe to get the cable running straight out?

This is really good, might come in handy one day. How'd you mount the shifter on the FD clamp?

Just a series of bolts and spacers I think. The lever just about rests on the clamp which stops the mech slipping down the gears.
