Seth Abramson really grates with me but he is having an epic I told you so day.

^ Such a big story, but seems to have disappeared from the news today.

Bit early for US front pages but I agree, amazingly quiet.
The stuff about Trump's financial dependency on Russia is crazy to see in Republican typed black and white.
-
• #9955
I didn't see the bit about financial dependency.
But from what I read yesterday, where Mueller was cautious about accusations of collusion, this report clearly alleges collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence.
From a Republican controlled committee, less than 3 months before the election. Are they abandoning ship?

Oh dear...
Is this a wheel coming off the bus or have they just chucked him under it?

Oh dear again. I'm beginning to finally believe that he's finished and will end up his days in a (his own) skin-coloured jumpsuit. I have been disappointed before.

Bannon finaly been charged. Never thought i'd see the day.
-
• #9959
Pardon?
-
• #9962
He can only be pardoned if he is convicted or if a plea deal reached. The second is unlikely as it involves an admission of guilt. The trial will be nowhere near concluded before November. I do believe that the DoJ are hedging their bets.
-
• #9963
What a bloody joy it would be to see him convicted.
-
• #9964
What a bloody joy it would be to see him in jail for a serious amount of time.
Fixed - conviction means zip when you have mates who'll see you right.
-
• #9965
The timing of the DoJ is exceptional. Pretty easy to think of it as a political move to damage Trump going towards the election. The Q anon crowd must be in meltdown.
-
• #9966
His plea deal may be interesting
-
• #9967
^ second that. Doubtful we will ever know though.
-
• #9968
Frankly I’m so sceptical of the US system that I won’t relax until Bannon is breaking rocks and Drumpf is being dragged kicking and screaming from the White House.

Donald Trump leaves the stage at the Republican National Congress to the sound of The Village People - YMCA.

Well he's not allowed to leave to the sounds of the rolling stones anymore. They slapped A C&d order on the campaign last time he used their songs
-
• #9972
Haven't they been using that and Macho Man for a while though?
EDIT - Yup (oddly, he used it in India):
But then they were asked not to (unsure whether this was a cease & desist - doesn't look like it, so he probably doesn't own the rights to his own songs):

So bizarre. Looks like he's upped the game in fake tan as well, more brown than orange no?

Guessing it's a tongue-in-cheek reference by his staff to him being younger than Biden.
Well, it seems that a Republican led committee have just released a 966 page report that appears to be so damning about Trump and his campaign that it might as well be a Seth Abramson book. Mental stuff.
