Just watch the last couple of seasons of South Park. That should clear it all up.

well, I did say more Alpha.
TBH, AFAICT, pretty much anyone with a partner is far more Alpha than they are ;)

Is being more Alpha a good thing?

I thought this was a spoof article until I looked at some more of the articles on the site http://www.lennyletter.com/politics/a613/hillary-clinton-is-more-than-a-president/

Well there's Cook, xxxx and Sinker. So it ought to be pretty straightforward to work out. :)

Yes and no. I think the 'chan' version of the alternative right - the version for which the pun works - shares a lot of ideas but is a bit of a thing unto itself. The confusion is maybe more that journalists are calling everything 'alt-right' when maybe some of it is morr 'alternative right'.
I'm totally cheeseparing, I know.

i hear you, although it worries me. it can't be long before turn into our folks and start voting tory and bitchin about how the trains were shit 30 years ago

I get this from my father-in-law. He's from Yorkshire, working class, worked in social care all his life, but I'm pretty sure he voted Tory last time as he couldn't stand Corbyn. When I tried to challenge him on Labour's "sensible" policies like re-nationalising the railways, he went on a rant about the state of the railroads back in the day. At least he voted remain.

But now the tax payer pays for a ton of things anyway in some areas... they're sort of semi-nationalised when it comes to having things fixed.
Not when it comes to the profits (see private eye). Dunno if re-nationalising will work fine, but it's not they get no state aid either ;)

How did he manage that? hasn't been a general election with corbyn as leader

Apparently you have to learn to love yourself first. I've been doing this vigorously for ages but it doesn't seem to have helped, tbh.

More astounding quotes; why not get some lions in there to really liven things up
The presidency of Donald Trump is good news for the NFL, according to
a team executive with whom Bleacher Report spoke. Why? The theory is interesting,
and a little bit out there. Here goes: "Under President [Barack] Obama, the country was
intellectual and looked at facts. I think that's why our ratings fell.
People read a lot about our scandals or CTE and didn't like what they
saw. Under Trump, the country will care less about truth or facts.
It'll be [more raw] and brutal. Football will be more of an outlet.
We'll go back to liking our violent sports." -

Wussies, just sacrifice the losing team like the Inca did ;)

Good point. He didn't much care for that Miliband fellow either. I must have been confused with which Labour leader he disliked.

Some very interesting analysis of reactions to trump win and racial breakdown of voting patterns... http://slatestarcodex.com/2016/11/16/you-are-still-crying-wolf/
^ you may be aware, but there are two versions of that.
The first version was by neo-nazis to identify Jewish names. I think they even built a browser plug-in to automate the triple commas in text whenever a so called 'Jewish name' appeared.
The second usage is a backlash by liberal minded people, who put their name in triple brackets as a sort of anti-nazi, solidarity statement.
