There is no fucking way Trump is not fleeing the country by the end of the month.

Could well be that he's not in the country now...

The national guard response was slower than movies have led me to believe...

I’d have thought that following the past 30 years of US history and the increased counter terrorism measures it would be a little more difficult to get in. I’m pretty sure it would be pretty difficult/next to impossible to get into the Palace of Westminster without some heavy duty hardware.

Difference in the UK is that it is unlike the US, it is unlikely that a mob outside parliment would have access to large quantities of guns.

To be fair, these people are all white.
Reckon if they looked Middle Eastern or were black, they wouldn’t have gotten so far.

I'd be surprised if they change their decision to pitch for the Trump legacy. I think they've made their calculations, see a net win, are being careful not to be held legally liable for Trump's behaviour and yet inherit his supporters.

Fucking hell.

Notice the lack of riot gear. It does look like the plan was to (at best) calm rather than confront. Wild.
Extinction Rebellion got more resistance when they got their tits out in the parliament viewing gallery.

When the people hired to protect the capital/the people in charge of deploying the people hired to defend the capital are on the same side as the terrorists, those infrastructures fall apart yeah.

If you look at the electoral map of Georgia, you can see how stark the town-country divide is.

It's obviously similar everywhere, but it's not good whichever way you look at it.

The fact that we've yet to see a single rubber bullet, tear gas canister or pepper ball used during all this further demonstrates the system's willingness to bend over backwards into a fucking mobius strip to give right-wing terrorists as much grace and leeway as possible.
Given how often black people get killed for little to no reason, if the police et all geniunely claim they’re doing what they should be doing half the protestor would’ve been shot already.

Ilhan Omar calling for impeachment--again, but with proper consequences this time:
From memory, don't they need a 2/3 Senate majority to remove him from office? I wonder if that would succeed this time. Not much time left, though.

Even if it ends relatively peacefully today, then there are going to be some seriously impotent feeling bearded white folk with guns hanging around Washington...

Good news for anyone who had a sneaky fiver on Pence as next Pres.
