Very nice !

Thanks! Appreciated :)
Indeed, modesty for everyone here, all of my bikes get usually a compliment a day when I ride them :-p
So far the Olmo and the Holdsworth got the most though :) -

Too busy for me. :(
Striking and lovely frame, which the wheels and finishing kit distract from.
The handlebar wrap, bottle cage and saddle are three different shades of yellow, none of which are the same as the frame (with the possible exception of the wrap, but it's too loud either way).
Plain rims would be less distracting too (is it your camera, but the spokes look white).
Momo says "less is more" and I have to agree: tone it down and let the frame "pop" (think Armani, rather than Versace).

I know the tones of yellow differ. The bottle cage I'll probably change for a black one.
Tape and spokes are too bright as I think a rare ray of sun hit the bike when I was taking the photograph.
The tape I am hoping will tone down when will get dirtier. Finding a tone similar to the frame is impossible and I thought black tape would be too much?As for the rest I don't think the kit distracts too much from the frame. True it does not highlight it, not contrasty as it could be, but I think they still quite work well together?
The saddle looked brighter when I got. Might go for a Cambium instead (which won't make anyone happy color-wise)

I did find these two examples on-line and none of them were of my liking.
The first I didn't like the yellow tyres.
And the second I didn't like the black tape.

Wrap: "team leader" white.
I didn't like the yellow tyres
U mad bro? Yellow tyres FTW!

I think the kit's fine save for the cranks arms and saddle. I think with a black saddle and more subtle crankset it would be a nice build.
Yellow tyres - indeed any tyres other than black or gum/white walled tyres - are bad news.

Wut?

U mad bro? Yellow tyres FTW!I used to like coloured tyres a lot...someone managed to remove the fun out of them :-p

Actually I think the black of the carbon kit contrasts nicely with the frameset, that is also one reason I'd like to try black bottle cages.
Black cages, cranks arms and hoods. And, a that point, with darker saddle (Cambium), this will all fit better and highlight the frameset?

The groupset is fine, but the saddle has to go.

And the wheels go well with the chrome on the stays and forks?
I don't think I can afford to change the kit atmo :) so it'll have to stay.

I don't so mind the colour of the cranks just that they're too modern.
You will never get bar-tape that matches exactly the colour of the paintwork as the surface texture is different. I think it's awfully picky to suggest that it's an issue.
EDIT: I actually quite like the wheels and the tyres. Not cheap, those tyres?

Cambium? What about a Regal?
Trust me on the white tape.
-
• #15
oh yeah, I wanted to go for a modern kit (or at least modern for me :) this is the most modern groupset I have ever had)
-
• #16
oh for wrap above you meant the wrapping tape...mmm I'll try photoshopping.
But how can I trust someone who doesn't like colored tyres??? -

And the wheels go well with the chrome on the stays and forks?
You could go either way with the rims: silver or black, just without the big decals.

But how can I trust someone who doesn't like colored tyres???
It was Momo who suggested it.

yeah don't like them either, particularly on a retro frame...but not keen on removing them for now...but I do agree

Momo's always right

Cambium has that nice balance between modern and vintage and seems comfy.
The Regal isn't such a bad idea though.Which one in particular where you thinking?

Your stem 3t pro chrome - Are they any good and what bars are they, as I was thinking of getting that stem for my Mx leader.

Same for me I'm afraid, bright frames work better with more neutral components. Personal preference and all that

+1 for changing saddle and de-stickering rims

So after I had to sell the Leader AX in Bugno colors to @jambon as it was way too big for me, another Leader AX presented to myself in my size, but different colours.
So I acquired this frame from Rome
In good conditions, albeit dirt and with its seatpost. Unfortunately some moron decided it's a good idea to cut the seattube a bit.
For this one I decided to go more modern and went for the Carbon Chorus 10sp groupset from @Thrasher.
Wheelset is a very nice and light Mavic Ksyrium SSC SL which I am loving already and a nice pair of Victoria Corsa G+ Isotech will complement them.
It looks like it'll be quite a nice beast once completed.
It just needs a chain (and level the saddle) and it's done.
What do you guys think?
Remember that the whole process has been closely under the supervision of my cat Momo!
