  • I'm in the market for a Kamado Joe Classic II

    This one here is £1,145, compared to the next lowest in price here at £1,329, which is near where most retailers are pricing.

    What's the catch?

  • If anyone is in the South West, I did the BBQ fundamentals course at UK BBQ school on Sunday, excellent food ( direct cooked hanger steak, roast topside and chicken thighs), good local beer and a really nice laid back afternoon, would recommend to anyone, although the waiting list is apparently pretty long now.

  • Are they pricing it without vat? Which will then be added when you go through the checkout process?

  • Not sure if you've considered this already, but I would be looking at the Masterbuilt kamado. I think Masterbuilt bought Kamado Joe and started selling the Classic II in black, but with Masterbuilt branding. I don't know if there are any differences other than the colour, but it's significantly cheaper. Here it is for £699

    It's still a bit cheaper than the Classic 1, but I'm pretty sold on the airlift hinge.

  • My Sunday roast last weekend. After bbq the leeks I put them in a cheesey dish with a sourdough bread crump topping.
