  • I have some mavic parts, but I'm not sure off the top of my head what group they are from....I have the crankset, front and rear mechs (including the little washer that makes it work!) and a bottom bracket, all in very good shape...I know they are all part of the same group though, and from the same year. I'll check in a bit, to see if they are what you're after

  • Thank you very much, do keep me posted!

  • I've got some Mavic pedals similar to those pictured, the chainset and stem, if you're interested in separate parts?

  • yeah sure, can you send me some pictures please ?

  • I think you have to start completing the group yourself. Small chances that somebody has all this group completed & available for sale. Especially now when I observe Mavic retro parts are getting more and more expensive! You have to have a good luck in finding cheap parts or be prepared to spend a lot of cash to complete 1000 SSC group (esp. brake set).

Be careful with the crankset, they have a bad opinion. On velobase somebody wrote they tend to fracture. Anyway they are very rare. As for crank you have good oportunity on ebay buying left and right arms separately:

As for brake calipers and levers... mission impossible. You have to be patient and aim to long term research. A week ago I bought Mavic 430 levers from retrobike.co.uk. They were listed in the thread from 2013. Imagine how happy I was when heard they were still available!

Also good place to find Mavic parts is French forum pignonfixe.com
You can register there in English too.

    good luck!

  • brakeset hard to get - go for modolo instead, readily available

  • Indeed. Cheaper Modolo Equipe is just below Master Pro in hierarchy that is supposed to be rebranded as Mavic SSC.

  • BTW, why don you try to use contacts from the enclosed picture ie stockists? :)

  • @absurdbird might be worth asking if he has any spare bits, I know he's a Mavic Group buff...

  • I've dug the bits out, but can't find any numbers to Id them....I'll pop a couple of pictures up in a bit.
These all came off an ex-pro's gazelle champion mondial AA special. The brakes that came with it are Modolo Race in white, but the levers are plain silver....

  • Please bear in mind, these haven't been cleaned...!
