Don't make me dig out your "no bottle 50's are a bit '70s" advice to me.
Just don't.

Platypus down chest.
No bottles.
Just want a inner tube and co2. Which should go under saddle at a quick look.
-
• #154
Ha - have you tried that yet? Not as easy as it sounds. Ditch the Co2 and tube and just carry Pitstop.
@Scilly.Suffolk I don't race with power anymore, my HR strap broke 3 months ago and I haven't replaced it and I've just finished a steel road bike. I'm full retrogrouch these days.
Last 50 I rode I had an Elite Crono which pissed away most of its contents in the first ten minutes.

Nah not tried it. Figured it wouldn't be too bad, was going to alter a base layer with a pouch for it.
-
• #156
Yeah, stash them in the bottle.
Or this has a flexible nozzle for use on trispokes/discs etc: http://www.freeborn.co.uk/effetto-inflate-repair-cartridge-kit?gclid=CMKc1YurpMcCFQb4wgodjYgEvQ

Elite Crono
I remember you putting it up for sale.
Such angry.

Really good looking for a TT bike. Loving the saddle also, anybody have any guides on how to re-cover them?

Good shout on pitstop.
That'll go under saddle for sure.

The large Pro tool bottle will hold a Vittoria Pitstop, a spare Conti supersonic tube, a mini pump, a small candy bar phone (e.g. Nokia 2730), a Torx key for the wheel bolts and my car key. Zip-tied and gaffer-taped under the saddle it's well out of the wind.
-
• #164
How do you get Pitstop on a disc/trispoke etc?
-
• #165
Because of the well designed seat post by cervelo, I wouldn't be able to get that under it, but more hanging off the back, with my saddle position. I can ram a inner tube fully under and then put a can of sealant onto that.
@Scilly.Suffolk point! @umop3pisdn I guess you need a 90deg adaptor, but I can't see one.
Zefal and hutchinson versions both have flexible tubes, anyone vouch for either?

In other news I now have a HED Jet 9 on it's way to me.
So I'll need to decide, tri spoke, or jet 9, for next weekends fast 10.

• #168
My plan has always been to use this with Pitstop, should the need arise:
-
• #169
LOL not sure how that'll go.
Think i'll by some of the huthcinson fast air. I've got some old innertubes I can test a can on.
I could always take a mini pump too.

No road bike on a pretty perfect evening. Only took me 330w.
-
• #171
The Effetto Espresso I linked to above has a flexible hose.
That's why I suggested it.
-
• #172
Ah yes, thanks!

Only took me 330w.
Only...

The tula arm pad fixings are pretty naff and the pads move.
Also tonight one of the bolts shreded out the thread as I went over a bit of a bump. So I need to buy a new fixing for that side. Or if they're silly money tap it out and put an m6 in there.
Basically I think as they're 2nd hand they've been abused a bit. So I'll just by new clamps for both sides, think these are the right ones, but will call.

I'm going for no bottle for my next 50
