  • Pizza Rack, Pizza Bag and Gevenalle 1x...You win.

  • Moreover, it's UX1 - got Alfine in the back (with belt drive)... ;)
    But thanks, yeah :)

  • How does the waterproofing feel to you? Reckon it'll stand an hour in constant driving rain?

  • Have not exposed it to such terrible conditions yet to be honest, but let me create them artificially tonight at home and see how much can the bag take :)

  • Anyone got one of these kicking about that they are itching to sell, before I stick in a pre-order for the ones supposedly to be in stock at the end of Oct at loads of UK retailers?

  • couldn't understand if the bikes in page 1 are 26". Can anyone confirm this? I would like to use this rack on my converted 26" MTB

  • Hey,

can we have a few more photos of the pizza bag fitted? one inside etc

  • Are those Jones bars?

Hi bikes dont seem to have the pizza rack anymore, does anyone else stock it?

  • Weiiird...Funny you say that, just installed some Jones today. Those in the pics however, aren't. They're ergotec from eBay. £9 and really comfortable.

I don't know who stocks them now, Apparently disappeared since the brexit. Specialized have said they're going to start stocking them in October.
It's well worth it. I installed a Pelago rack on another bike recently, and really disappointed with the quality. Pizza is sturdier.

@elmariachi I'm on 26". Clears it with mudguards and 2.2" tyres.

  • Anyone been using this with Panniers ?

  • Hi Guys

Been following this thread for a while whilst I've had a Pizza Rack/Bag on back order (mechanic at a Specialized shop in Wales). I picked up the bag and the rack should be coming later this month.

Hoping to mount it to my rigid 29er with some King Cage USB clamps. Also going to use a similar method and see if I can get it to mount to my Peugeot Pista track frame. I'll post some pictures if anyone is interested.

  • I'd be interested to see if this has held up with the USB mounts - got any pics yet?

  • Still waiting on the rack to arrive as it was put back a week or two which is typical of suppliers. Hoping for it to turn up in the next few days, will update you all then!

  • Pizza racks are in stock and ready for order if anyone wants one.

  • How are you finding the bag?

  • I use the bag quite a bit on another bike and just generally. I really like it, fairly secure on the rack although I've not tried it loaded up to the max. Roll top means it can hold quite a lot of stuff and still pack down to be as small as possible. The lower half is reenforced slightly and holds its shape well so getting stuff out isn't a mission. Find it quite useful in the car too.

  • The winter came a month too soon here in Moscow, so not really riding a lot currently.

I used the Pizza bag in conjunction with my Pizza rack to commute, and it was great! As already mentioned, the bag keeps its shape, and my laptop fit in like a glove (exact similar shape and size as the bag). The rest of the stuff went on top of it, and with roll top rolled :) and top fastener secured, it felt pretty tight, without stuff wiggling all over inside the bag. The velcros on the bottom of the bag secure it to the rack pretty well, in fact, it takes some effort to take it off. The whole bag looks/feels pretty sturdy to me. I haven't subjected it to any serious water or rain, but again I'm sure it will hold up well.

Sorry, cannot really take any pics at the mo, but i'd recommend the bag (and the bag/rack combo) to anyone.

  • Do you think the pizza bag would be ok for touring?

  • Rack turned up today, not going to be an easy fit.....bugger.

    still, looks great though.

  • Sorry, I wouldn't know, never toured in my life

  • I plan to use mine that way, coupled with a caradice at the rear I reckon it's cock on

  • As I mentioned, I never toured, but my understanding is that due to all of the weight of the stuff you have to haul, you need to minimize unnecessary elements and their weight. Hence the so called low rider (?) front racks are used, when you can still stick the bags to their sides, but the top platform is absent. In pizza rack + bag combo, it's more about quick access, mount/dismount and overall convenience, rather than minimal weight. IMO

  • Hi all,

I have an AWOL that I have installed the pizza rack on. So far it has had light duties, mostly with an Ortlieb dry bag being bungeed onto it. I really like the idea of the pizza bag but I cant find any reviews, or even pictures of how it attaches to the pizza rack.

Could one of the owners of both the rack and bag take some photos, or better still a quick video of how it attaches please?

Also, could you give an opinion on how sturdy the bag is, and how secure it feels when attached when it has a decent load in it?

    Many thanks!

  • I can recommend the ILE Porteur bag. Fits the pizza rack perfectly, quality is great and it looks good, better than the pizza bag if you ask me.

  • Hi

I own both bag and rack. Can't take any more pics apart from what's already been posted in this thread, but it does attach quiet securely and does feel sturdy enough for its commuting duties (what I used it for)
