Garden is still producing
..same here! Though my "garden" is a windowsill basically, and "producing" is maybe bit of a big word for what's happening here, but yea, there are some berries!
On the bottom there are some Habaneros, not sure what kind exactly but I think it was from seeds of chilies bought at the organic food store last year.
Upper left are "Pinzón", from a plant that did really well last year, and almost-died during hibernation last winter.. I thought about binning it multiple times but then, quite late in the year new leaves sprouted, and it produced about a dozen berries.
Upper right are some store-bought "Rawit", will save some seeds from these and plant next year. -

first real effort at chillis this year
seeds given to me by a neighbour not sure what they are
have had a little nibble on the end of a couple and they're not too pokey, nice in a chilli or some indian food for that little bit of kick -

My dad's homegrown chilli's including some superhots and scotch bonnets fermented for 6 weeks with some garlic. Tastes amazing

I had a dismal year, totally distracted, managed to grow a few choc habaneros and these Chinese Fire Tongue from @Kat_Balou if memory serves. They are really good, saved a few seeds too.

I'll be in. I've got some chilli bomb, chocolate habanero (from you) and some smoked/dried genuine Mexican chillis which I hope might still germinate

I only have bog standard dull varieties so it'd be unfair trading, unless anyone is short of Scotch Bonnet/Habanero?

To my mind, any variety I don’t currently have is of interest. So get in on the list! :)

I've got a shit ton of dried chillies, most of which dried on the plants. Not sure best thing to do with them? Do you need to re hydrate to make chili oil?
-
• #644
Dried ones make a better oil actually, which will last longer. You can just steep them or warm the whole lot gently.

So i’ve just got my crop going for this year. I didn’t grow anything at all last year so it’s all from scratch. The varieties are as follows;
Jalapeño
Cayenne
Peter’s pepper
Chocolate habanero
White bhut jolokia
Trinidad scorpian
Carolina reaperI’ll probably also do some fatali and scotchy b’s. They are in a heated propigator atm and will have LED help once they sprout. I’m also going to have a crack at making a homemade hydroponic system, most likely doing a super hot and mid level to compare against the others.
I managed to kill the whole lost off at the last attempt, so hopefully this time i do better. Any hydroponic tips will be greatly recieved. Anyone else seeding yet?

I've not planted any yet. Still got a couple of fruits ripening from last season.
Will seeds from smoked/dried chillies be likely to germinate?
AWWW YISSSS!!!!!!
