I own a pretty similarly geared riser road bike; if you're used to big-ratio fixed there's plenty of gears even for relatively hilly city riding, and the ability to go like a freight train if the opportunity arises is stupid and unnecessary but fun.

Whilst living in Paris I only had the luxury of having one bike, bought a pair of these which was perfect for switching between city and going on long rides/tours.

Trust me. Shame England is so wet, effort to keep nice bikes nice.
