This is so cool! I visited Emile's shop a few years ago. He was very keen to tell all kinds of stories of days past (particularly about his mechanical assistance in 70s AGR's). And with great pride showing off hiss toolbox.

Good to hear you recognize the frame and thanks for the photos! I bought the frame roughly 6 years ago when I lived in Maastricht but unfortunately I never managed to visit the shop in Valkenburg. The frame has been through various iterations since

Hope this is the right place to ask. Looking for some 22.2 mm handlebars which will be a bit more comfortable than these:
So something with a bit of sweep, maybe a bit of rise, and not too wide. Plenty of decent options posted here but hard to tell the details (and the width, often) from side shots.
Along the lines of these:

Just got this back on the road after a winter of abuse as a road bike - looking for some suitable riser, swept back bars if anyone has a recommendation?

For that classy sweep I can highly recommend Nitto Albatross. The placement and angle of the grips makes it sort of similar to riding on the hoods

Cool commuter. Did you give the tyre clearance a good look? Would love to know how much you could squeeze in those old allez epics.
