I'll be taking the grip and the lens off, moving them to the replacement X100F.
The original lens-ring and lens-cap never came out of the box, they're still there with the manuals etc.

6D mkII is official. £2k, thanks to Brexit. I guess that means the resell value of the original will hold up ;)

After bouncing my Sony Nex off a concrete floor I get an error that the lens can't be recognised. A bit of googling suggests that this is fatal which is an arse.
Any suggestions for a portable camera (new or second hand) which is reasonably pocketable (big jacket pocket size will do), manual controls and decent sized sensor for sub-£200?

Sorry to hear that... 2nd hand Ricoh something or EOS-M? The Canon's sensor won't have as much headroom as what you're used to from the Sony, though.

Asking here. Where can I get a charger for a 600D battery that isn't AliExpress for cheap?

Do you rate the EOS-M?
-

It has it's place. If you're heavily invested in Canon glass and want something light for travelling etc. The newer versions are really quite good. I've never owned one though.

Cheers. It was second hand so not as painful as it could have been but still annoying.
None of the ricoh's leap out at me but I don't know much about them. The EOS-M with a pancake lens looks like a possible, it's a bit too large with the kit lens. Will have to look at some prices.

You could just get another NEX... Great cameras.
There's also the RX100 variants but they might be a little spendy. -

..you'd have to get one of those bulky $200 EF-M to EF adapters though.

Makes a nice lens cap for super-teles.

Another Nex is a possibility. Could really do with working out if it's the lens, camera or both I guess.
You can get an original RX100 second-hand for under £200 which is tempting.

Replied. Be handy if you could see you had a PM on mobile.

Omg this. Just a little yellow highlight or badge around the box would be super handy.

X100t is sold.

Does anyone know anywhere in London that stocks Restrap inparticular the SLR strap? Or anyone got any reviews of it?

I have them, want to sell. Keen? Can bring tomorrow. SE1.
I have the long one and the short one and some extra magnetic thingies for spare cameras.

Massive 1st world problem time. Going on holiday soon – trying to decide on camera to bring. Would rather just take the X100 and XA2 between the two of us and not have to think about it/have much to carry.
But... There's incredible night skies where we're going so I'm tempted to take the 6D with a couple of lenses (35mm f/2, 85mm f/1.8) and a small tripod. I really don't want to lug it around tho and would rather just enjoy the holiday tbh.
The DSLR routinely gets left at home these days...

I had same issue on my last holiday with 2x Leica M6, 1x Voigtlander Bessa T, 1x X Pro 1 and various lenses .. I decided not to take digital which was an expensive mistake. Take digital.

I've had amazing results shooting night skies with my Rolleicord.

This is what I took last time. Was a bit of a pain in the arse to schlep around and, to be honest, it's only holiday photos and I don't want to be "that guy"... Got some great shots with the Mamiya, but they could have been done on digital and saved myself over a hundred quid getting it all processed.
The X100 is pretty crap for night sky stuff – the 6D is great though, it captures the milky way, gas clouds etc.
