Hah! I much prefer shooting something with a tactile control surface and good ergonomics - my problem with the Nikon Z series is that it’s too much like shooting an iPhone with a big lens attached.

My Fuji gets regular use, I just need to learn to use it better for the shooting conditions I operate under since getting married…

Fuji AF-C is generally pretty good. Probably wouldn’t use Fuji if my income was based on photographing fast moving objects for billboards but on the whole, it’s completely adequate.

Not totally related, but I came across this webcam from Razer that essentially has a smartphone sensor in it, and the results look great when it's tweaked a bit:

It's £300, but for the price and convenience vs a mirrorless + capture card + dummy battery, it seems not that unreasonable.

I bought a Fuji XT5 this August and it now seems the body is fucked. Unresponsive to certain commands and issues during a recent shoot. Fuji unfortunately moved their SC from the UK to Portugal (for EU related issues at least) which now means I’ll be without camera for at least 2/3 months. Second time I’ve got issues with a brand new body. Meh!

Speaking of Ricoh GR, I just got me a GRD 1 first gen from 2007.
So far I enjoy it in black and white mode as a point and shoot camera while still having nice ergonomics in manual mode.

The old GRDs had lovely b&w. Think my favourite was the one with the f1.7 lens, used to use that a lot with flash and exposure set to -2 and it produced a lovely effect.
