  • Pretty sure you’ll love it. Enjoy!

  • Yes, it’s variable magnification ratio. An often overlooked superb lens, real feat of engineering.
Scanning film like that is a real mess, if you want an archive of x00,000 scanned PM me, we specialise in it.

  • Billingham bags: why bother, when you can buy a cheap used Brady fishing bag on eBay, which is the OG design and used by all the photographers Leica collectors have wet dreams about

  • I've got a Billingham Hadley, it's very nicely made and I've enjoyed using it, but I've now got too many cameras to fit into it, so would probably keep the Hadley (pro maybe?) for the XT-2, the big zoom and the small zoom and maybe the 56mm lens, then a smaller bag for the XPro-3 and the 23mm and 35mm lenses.

  • Hadley pro (small) I think it's what I use with my xpro3 plus a couple of lenses.

Then use the pockets for batteries, serves me just fine. I think if I had anything bigger I'd just be filling it for the sake of it.

  • I see Brady do camera bags now, new prices are eye watering.

  • Yessss on Goldeneye! My mum and dad have never pulled such an amazing reveal at christmas! They told me and my brothers they were all sold out and then had it playing in the lounge when we went back in after dinner!

I have the XT4 but am really wanting another lens, something around 23mm - 35mm arena.

  • Is it even wetter than usual as its a fishing bag?

  • 23mm F2 or 35mm F2, can't beat it for the money.

Obviously, in both cases the 1.4 is prefered but none of those are WR, they're bigger and more expensive.

  • Amazing! Such a good game and memories.

I have been a bit naughty and ordered the XF 16mm F1.4

  • That’s a nice one. I don’t use it too often but whenever I do the images are top notch.

  • Yeah, that's probably my favourite Fuji lens.

  • Thanks for that. I am tempted by the F2's to minimise weight and footprint for something more portable.

Was also majorly considering the XT30 recently due to the big price drop but it's gone back up now.

For a bit of a one stop shop I'm thinking the 35mm F2. Good for street, travel and still a bit of context. What's your opinon vs the 23mm?

  • Supposed to have a great close range that so very flexible. Not tried myself.

  • I don't own the 23mm F2 but I've tried it. I personally prefer a little bit more distance between the subject and the camera, which is exactly what the 35 offers against the 23. I think the personal preference comes down to your type of shooting mostly. I don't believe there's a huge difference between the two in terms of performance.

Sampleshot taken with the 35mm and XT2.

The 16 1.4 can indeed focus very close and shows little to no distortion in use. Obviously because it's wide angle the 1.4 is easier to put in actual practice compared to i.e. the 56 1.2 where the shallow depth of field sometimes causes you (or the camera) to miss focus.

  • Nice, My X-T3 came yesterday with the 16-80mm lens, only had a quick play but already loving it compared to the Sony A7ii I was using.

  • 10% off up to £75 on eBay Camera Centre UK. Includes XT3 and XT4.

  • Has anyone tried the Sony E 70-350mm lens? Worth the extra £600 over the EF 55-210mm?

    For use on an a6300.

  • Anyone in the market to sell an X100F?

  • I'm not but what sort of price did you have in mind in case I see anything?

  • Thanks for offer of assistance.

Looking at the lowest prices for sold cameras on eBay they go for as low as £520-ish. One went for £521 last night actually but the seller only had 3 feedback ratings and none of them recent so smelled a bit fishy. I missed out on a new black one from the Currys outlet on eBay that worked out at £685 with the discount code and a new brown one that worked out at £625 with the code.

People are listing them for £850 used on there too though, so there's a lot of skewed opinions on their value on there! So I guess under £600 for one with little use and closer to £500 if it's been about a bit. Does that sound fair?

    I'd also consider a X100T around the £400 mark.

  • Anyone bought a hood for their X100 series? Any recommendations?

I've found the lens on my X100s is prone to flare so on the look out for one.

  • My X-T4 has arrived and, from the little wander around in a howling gale, it's totally blown me away (ba-dum-tss).

One thing that has me stumped is transferring images to my Mac. Currently using a MacBook Air which has two USB ports and a what I believe to be a Thunderbolt 2 port.

The USB connection to the camera is glitchy as fuck using the Fujifilm X Acquire software (pop-ups galore), so should I just buy a card reader? Something like the Sandisk EXTREME PRO (there's a lot of capitalisation of the word "pro" with camera stuff, isn't there?) maybe? Although this is USB-3 so will I then need another adapter to fit Thunderbolt 2 or USB?

    I'm so confused.
