The conservatives tried to portray themselves as the party you could trust with the purse strings.
An absurd idea really, given this:
http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-brexit-report-idUKKCN1242ENBut yeah, Brexit is definitely the right thing to do, it's not like we were benefiting from it... oh wait:

Next step is sowing some patches on everyone's coat that looks slightly suspicious?

Are you fucking kidding me!
Time to float off the business park where I work (a good 20% FURRIGNERSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!) and declare ourselves independent.
Harland and Wolff (also foreigners as they couldn't fill all jobs with locals as the skills are now gone) may have a pontoon that's big enough for us ;)

Like this?

This 'hard Brexit' nonsense is so ridiculous. What they mean is not that will do a Brexit without access to the single market, but that they'll try to bullshit the EU into thinking they might actually do it, which they won't, so the EU will just call their bluff and sit back, waiting until they inevitably buckle.
-

North Korea has 'access' to the single market. The UK can leave the EU and still retain access to the single market.
I think what you mean is that the UK will remain a member of the single market, akin to Norway?
-
• #4883
Good point, I should have said 'access without the "four freedoms"', or 'unfettered access', or something like that.

Apparently, the French economy has just overtaken the British economy as a consequence of

Duncan makes a point Labour and others should have celebrated immigration before, as now it's too late to do so and the Tories get in bed with the usual rabids. Discuss... ;)
-
• #4888
Yep, the Tory's continuing Labour's authoritarian legacy sounds about right.

This sums these Tory bastards up for me;

Surely there must be some element of the Tory party with the fiscal and dare I say it-moral-sense of prudence to stage a huge revolt against the loonies that have installed themselves?
The only way this could be worse is if Michael Gove had a role.

Probably to the same standard as Camp de Rivesaltes.
Interesting how it is the high knowledge sectors that are most worried.
Who's in charge of education? Oh. Self inflicted injury I see
