Yea, but we believe any old shit in this country.

Good point, looking again i can see it is a box not just printed in one place!

The A++ is old rating, no?
Edit; found better example, the box it’s printed on is wrong, they somehow only updated the EU one and not the UK one.
Currently, appliances energy labels feature a scale that can go as high as A+++ and as low as G. As many products now hit the top end of the scale and there’s little differentiation, it’s set to revert to a simple A-G format for some product types after 2021. More space is needed for innovation, so initially, nothing will be in the top categories and the most efficient fridge today, for example that’s currently A+++, will be rated C or D.

UK is identical to EU;

The EU have updated their scales so what used to be efficient isn't any more. We left the EU after the change and our scale still reflects their original scale for the time being.

So as tech improves to keep up with the EU scale, it will look even better on an outdated UK scale? Brilliant!

Which thinks UK is matching Eu changes (for now): https://www.which.co.uk/news/2021/03/what-does-the-new-energy-label-mean-for-you-and-your-home/

Except the UK is also changing its scale.

• #31310
Indeed, I did catch that, but it isn’t quite as funny to caveat (at least while the UK finishes updating its own scale).

Allegedly from the same product.

I literally just posted the above; it's the same as the EU, just updated this year on both side.

I meant more literally, what is meant by the “supply side”?
-
• #31316
the opposite of demand side
-
• #31317
Yes, but that wasn't the side about which Mickie_Cricket demanded to know more.

I noticed this further down the page from that thread:

Blue(ish) passport tax, innit.

My understanding of this is very basic, but IIRC supply side economics deals with taxation and regulation of production/producers, and free trade to allow said producers to sell their goods.
Therefore what the ERG say they want is deregulation, lower taxation, and no impediment to trade, whilst erecting the largest barriers to trade that exist outside of actual punitive sanctions (in the modern period), increasing taxation to make up for the drop in GDP due to said barriers, and we're in the process of realising that we can't deregulate because the markets we want to sell into are regulated, and won't (can't) buy our stuff unless it meets their standards.

Truss goes straight in with "but A16..."
This truly is shitty groundhog day, who in the UK has the skill to keep their political career intact while escaping the "It is A16 day, again..." scenario?
I guess nobody cos Brexit/ERG/Boris.
