  • No. 10 transparently lying about a conversation with Merkel shortly before a 155 page readiness report on no deal preparations...

  • Yup, and DM and Express dutifully spinning it as Johnson hoped they would.

Some "journalists" are even describing it as an EU attempt to annex Northern Ireland!

  • End game approaching. Let's hope there are enough moderate tory voters who vote against the no-deal platform and some kind of tactical remain play (vain hope, I know) that avoids a Johnson majority. I truly don't know how the spin/fallout from a Benn Bill driven extension will land.

Going to be a nightmare few months - even more so than so far. The lies, the hate...ugh.

  • Is it time to start screaming yet?

  • You mean you stopped some time during the last three years?

  • Mmm. Good point. Internally up until now...

  • Listening to the BBC World Service's World Business Report. They talked to a couple of small business owners who were attending a briefing/discussion on preparation for Brexit. Both very scared.

When they came out, one of them said "There were a lot of scared people in there. I think it [Brexit] will happen. I think it will be good. Because it has to be good."

Those last two sentences seemed to sum up the thoughts of most of those who ticked the box 3 years ago and their justification ever since.

  • I think it's not so much a justification as clinging to the straw of hope at this point. They are trying to convince themselves (or keep themselves convinced) that it is going to be good like the brexiteers say, because otherwise, they have realised, it could really be a major catastrophe and really really negatively impact them (and in this case, their business).

  • Just had a look at the Leave.eu Twitter account for the first time, my god...

  • Cha, who in their right mind would do something that would be as bad as Brexit, right?

It is the same reaction I get when I tell people about the cost of citizenship and problems with settled status... a lot of people can't imagine the incompetency and nastiness all this requires.

  • Truly awful, right?

  • Fucking shocking really. I mean it's straight out of Viz Comic

  • You leave Viz out of this!

  • he was probably tired

  • You leave Viz out of this!

Ha! I should qualify that by saying specifically the Baxter Basics MP and The Daily Male strips!

  • Just had a look at the Leave.eu Twitter account for the first time, my god...

The band on Titanic keeps on playing

  • Must say, The Daily Male is excellent.

  • Just seen Steve Baker MP on C4 news, saying "Yes, that mad text from Downing Street had Dom's signature all over it" and also saying that this kind of thing is why he didn't join Johnson's government. Fuck me, when Steve Baker seems the voice of reason in comparison...

  • Dominic's massive fucking egg head is collapsing under its own gravity after being filled with too many evil plots. Hopefully we see a full-blown public meltdown.
