Thanks. Good point.

Judging by my research of voting intentions (reading this thread), Greens are going to take all the seats in London.

fuck tactical voting
If people weren't so worried that other people weren't voting in suit we'd actually have change. The same bullshit bondooloo parties keep fear mongering voters, when is it enough for people? You actually have a choice to freely vote for someone who represents your values or at least closely aligns to it but you're being bullied with, "it's us or the other guy". Honestly it's sad and pathetic.

I was just in the hardware shop - which, since I decided not to take an imaginary flight to my fictional second home in the South of France, is where I like to spend my disposables - and an Irish woman was telling the shop keeper that after 36 years she was going back to Ireland. "Brexit and all that shit", she said. I never like to hear a lady using profanities but perhaps she has a point.
Then, on the way back, I saw this which is undeniably a bit of illegal Green party campaigning. So much for ethics.

I’m a bit of an Ian Dunt fanboy, but this is good;

I don't trust them because they have done a LOT of fear mongering during this campaign saying a vote for the Greens is a wasted vote because they're not a credible party. Which winds me up.
The Lib Dems also think they mitigated the introduction of austerity during the coalition government when the reality is if they hadn't entered a coalition with the Tories there wouldn't have been a Tory coalition government to introduce it in the first place. A lot of the fundamental cuts to things like local authority funding go back to 2010. I can't forgive them for that even if I could get past tuition fees.

Yep 100%. Actually it was partly your posts on here that cemented my thinking. We're in a time of huge political turmoil and a climate crisis, seems like the perfect time to ditch that kind of thinking to me.

Will if you ever do make it to the south of France I know a truly excellent hardware shop in Marseille. If you like a good hardware shop it would make you very happy.

I'll be in the Alps in September, maybe we can start a list. Driving there in a highly polluting camper van.

Voted Green is now trending on Twitter. Hopefully that's actually representative of actual outcomes rather than just vocal echo-chamber.
-
• #21312
If it helps, the guy who's bike I just fixed in Stretford is off to vote Green on it, and said his echo chamber are all doing the same, me and my wife voted Green this morning. If Yaxley-Lennon gets a seat round here I'll be researching vegan milkshake molotovs.

If the people who voted for Brexit think that immigration is an issue now, they should wait and see what it's going to be like when the fresh water runs out.
Our future, as a human race, is going to be all about green issues whether we like it or not.

^ this.
I’m in an odd situation of being generally ambivalent regarding Brexit, and don’t mind Corbyn’s approach, but align pretty heavily on policy with the Green Party. I do think both as individuals and as a party the Greens are credible and hey, let’s not pretend Labour isn’t awash with idiots.
A green vote here (the SW) happens to be the tactical ‘remain’ vote by most calculations I’ve seen.

Stations are having problems here with ballot box capacity, suggesting an unusually high turnout.
-
• #21324
The box style & folded paper forms don't make for efficient use off the capacity within.
Be much Greener (& easier to count) to get rid of Paper voting forms. Higher chance of rigging outcomes though?

The official line is that ‘mixed’ systems can be pretty secure but then this happened: https://www.google.com/amp/time.com/5366171/11-year-old-hacked-into-us-voting-system-10-minutes/%3Famp%3Dtrue
Traditional Labour supporter, just voted Green. Can't bring myself to vote LibDem because of austerity.
