  • possibly, but honestly I don't think people know how shit life is for a lot of people in rural areas. It can't get worse when there is no money, food or housing. Whatever happened it can stay the same but it can't get worse for some and people need to accept that.

  • My Grandad had an Irish passport, so I checked yesterday thinking I might get one. Sadly he was born in England, he got his as his mother was born in Ireland.

  • voting should be like driving, you should need to pass a test before you're allowed to

anyone else got rid of old friends on Facearse today who are showing their true colours?!

  • And for those people, voting for change carries no risk. It can't get any worse so you may as well sling in a leave vote just in case it makes a difference and things improve.

  • Roy and Martin are after youth, not experience

  • But then it turns out this afternoon that the Europeans want to get rid of us as soon as they can, earlier than the two year minimum if they can. Makes me feel ashamed.

They can't do anything until the UK Government invokes article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which Cameron has said he's not going to do.

  • I make Tony Cascarino look like Messi.

  • And for those people, voting for change carries no risk. It can't get any worse so you may as well sling in a leave vote just in case it makes a difference and things improve.

Exactly, you can't blame them for their suffering.

With the deterioration of the house of commons and the imminent repairs needed to it, can I make a suggestion? Quickly, close the house of lords and parliament, do it up and make it a tourist attraction. Create a UK assembly outside of London with a united geometry, not two divided sides. Reform the voting system to better represent districts and democracy. In the mean time the NHS collapses and fails to care for the elderly who voted leave so they die early. 10 years down the line, new referendum and we rejoin, new slate, reformed and free of the real shackles that hold this country back - Established, disconnected, party politics.

voting should be like driving, you should need to pass a test before you're allowed to

So when the pensioners peg it, add a maximum voting age, say 70 years old

  • Well at least it sounds like a plan.

  • They can't do anything until the UK Government invokes article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which Cameron has said he's not going to do.

He said 'not rush' before the EU spoke... Surely they can't stay still though, people and markets wants to know... or they find the way to stay in or they must move the fuck out.. either way they must move.

  • Underneath the whole mr "hug it out" thing, there is a real fascist trying to get out. How do you reconcile that intellectually?

  • This is all mental. But looking forward to the Adam Curtis documentary

  • The French could make life very difficult for the UK.
Start checking all UK passenger vehicles meet 'French regulations',
let all the refugees at 'The Jungle' through,
start checking all HGVs entering contain no 'economic refugees', with slow, physical checks.

  • Still.. very much a fuck others vote. (See also some Tory voters and morons over here voting dup!) And it can get worse if other voters still don't care.

I doubt it forces UK reform. If it will I'll be surprised. If it does then perhaps things change for the better. Good. A very risky bet.

I have Belfast go and grow, also in very deprived areas. So to say fuckyou to the hand that feeds means harming others that are lifted up a little by it too.

But few ppl calculate a vote through x100.

  • oh dear. I should have labelled my sarcasm.

Have people learned nothing from drowning in 'keep calm carry on' paraphernalia?

  • a) Latin are vindictive by nature.
    b) Uk has been acting and treated as Princess on all this EU thing for the time past..
    c) EU needs to set an example of UK for the other countries who may want to launch referendums.
    d) Tories played more than enough with this game in or out vs the EU.

  • What would be lovely now is to ask your lovely Queen to give us the first three steps that her devoted Tory party should move forward.

  • Nothing about your posting is coherent or really penetrable. It masquerades your sarcasm well.

  • I know, I'm not very deep so there isn't much to analyse, I have said before I am not strong with my choice of words, I am trying to improve. I thought it was obvious that a maximum voting age was a joke, made to oppose the previous suggestion. I was just trying to lighten the mood

  • anyone else got rid of old friends on Facearse today who are showing their true colours?!

I'm considering deleting a load of fb acquaintances as lots of them have revealed themselves to be really quite nasty or ignorant, interestingly alot of them I know through one particular hobby that we share which is going to make things uncomfortable if I carry on with it.

I found myself trying to avoid the subject at work today, I'm used to being the odd one out in the workplace with my wierdo cycling/non drinking/herbivorous ways but there was a certain tinge of nastiness and tribalism when it came to the subject of the referendum.

  • Someone just informed me on FB that I could go and live in Europe if it's going to be so awful.

    My ironymeter just exploded.

  • Actually, what happens if you were to move to somewhere in Europe now - would you have two years to apply for citizenship wherever you went, or is that not how it works?
