52% voted for pizza, but the only thing on the menu is ham+pineapple.
Some cunts are determined to make everyone eat the pizza.

I can't decide which of them looks most like a pizza.

It will be fought on a single issue or become a proxy for that single issue.
My emphasis added. I am look at this from the standpoint of the electorate.
There has been literally NOTHING else on the table politically for the past 3 years. A change in leadership in the Tories for a GE I would hope would push for a change in leadership in Labour and that could shift their policy.
Corbyn vs A.N. Other Grey Suited Dickhead really is no different from the current situation.
I'm just going to throw my ballot paper in the sea. It will be just as effective there as in the ballot box.

The thrust of the Dominic Cummings rant yesterday is that he'll make sure a referendum will play out just like the last: a different single issue for every voter.
Don't like red tape? Vote leave.
Slightly concerned about over-reaching federalism? Vote leave.
Worried about boarded-up shops on your high street? Vote leave.
Don't like brown people? Vote leave. Now with added
Despise the way parliament behaves? Vote leave. -

No I get that, and I understand where you're coming from. I'm just saying from a standpoint of actually trying to solve problems it's the worst proxy ever simply due to the way the process works. For me, that's a good reason not to have a GE. At best it doesn't solve the issue. At worst the issue of Brexit completely displaces everything else and the result will be coopted by brexiteers the same way the result of the last GE was by May.
So what I'm saying is - 2nd ref first to get clarity on what to do. GE next because screw the current parliament and their leaders.
That's my view on it at least!

I started reading that rant but found it too depressing to cope and stopped.
My only hope would be that enough people can see that voting to leave again doesn't give parliament a kicking - it gives them more power, and legitimises what they've done over the past 3 years. But I appreciate that is a more nuanced position and they aren't popular

Sky News currently spinning that the indicative vote option for common market had more votes than TM's deal, conveniently ignoring that the revoke Art50 option had more votes
Agendas gonna agend

Didn’t Mays deal get 200 or so votes??
-
• #19861
Hang on, that's not correct is it? The two which came closest to a majority were Common Market and Confirmatory Vote. Revoke lost by a 100
Motion B) No deal - defeated by 400 votes to 160, majority 240.
Motion D) Common market 2.0 - defeated by 283 votes to 188, majority 95.
Motion H) Efta and EEA - defeated by 377 votes to 65, majority 312.
Motion J) Customs union - defeated by 272 votes to 264, majority eight.
Motion K) Labour's alternative plan - defeated by 307 votes to 237, majority 70.
Motion L) Revocation to avoid no-deal - defeated by 293 votes to 184, majority 109.
Motion M) Confirmatory public vote - defeated by 295 voted to 268, majority 27.
Motion O) Contingent preferential arrangements - defeated by 422 votes to 139, majority 283. -

Sorry I meant confirmatory vote. Second coffee incoming

The Customs Union alone won't resolve the NI border issue. It's been nearly 3 years, and they are still voting on things THAT ARE NOT POSSIBLE
Unless the motions were more detailed, with something like "customs union, but we spend 10 years on sorting stuff out"

With broad concensus and no need for DUP support you can say fuck the boarder and build a wall.

Further to the Suella Braverman comments from a few pages back. Seeing as I have the shame of her being my local MP I thought I'd give the Conservative party complaints process a go. I don't hold out much hope as they haven't adopted the IHRA definition antisemitism so I'm sure it wont come to anything, but we'll see what happens.

Customs Union and Confirmatory Vote (which I'm sure is what you meant).

Astonishing statement by Mark Francois on World At One where he described Jacob Rees-Mogg as “his boss”.
And I thought he was his general ...

Just in case anyone was confused about WTF is going on with all the votes, Ian Dunt has a great explanation:

"Oirish"
Urgh. All the Bostonians. People with celtic cross tattoos, wearing claddagh rings and shamrocks who are 5-6 generations removed from the Emerald Isle.
This is the same group who get upset when the Mexican immigrants celebrate Cinqo de Mayo.

Sorry, pizza isn’t one of the options, just stale scones, lumpy custard and pork pies.
