Labour is still in la-la-la about aligning with the single market, but no adoption of freedom of movement (which CAN be limited, Austria is very strict atm on this) so the EU won't offer this "alignment" as they told the Tories like a million times.
Well who knows, maybe in a few months reality kicks in, and Keir can actually tell people the truth as he is smart enough to know it won't happen.

^ nonsense is nonsense, don't care where it comes from. If the truth doesn't matter to Labour anymore because of the "will of the people" I'd say that is not a good thing.
Talking of relative truths. He is right that May started article50 too soon. But he still stands by the "ow no millions of Turkish people could invade the EU" claim of leave.eu. Really.

The emerging consensus among Brexiteers seems to be that it is better to present an alternative that will be open to criticism, than face the charge of having no worked out ideas of their own.

Oh come on, the point was turkey joining the EU was and is on the cards. BUT there are a few things to settle first, one in the Invasion of Northern Cyprus.

Turkey was never serious about joining the EU, it was never going to relinquish the Death Penalty. Turkey had been negotiating with the original Euro6 since the early '60s. Turkey is happy with 'a' Customs Union agreement signed in 1995.

That was the point I failed at getting across.
Turkey has been talking for at least 40 years and no closer to settling.

Good stuff from the IPPR. Would love to see a government enact all of these proposals.
