Farage's injuries were more serious than was ever admitted - he's in constant pain. That may cheer some people up.

cheers me up no end.

Farage leads to fear, fear leads to hate, hate leads to the dark side...
I just hope he wises up. But that's unlikely.

Classy indeed. And I've already seen a leave supporter claim it was a false flag ... "Quite clearly a stunt by the Remainers to discredit the leavers". I can't even.

really surprised to see this - a Leave academic.

Though I am an economist, I am taking a more political perspective to this vote by focusing on the utterly undemocratic nature of the key institutions of the EU.
Time to stop reading there :p

I’m most intrigued by the Commonwealth bit of the Brexit world view. It’s a bit like the holy ghost, which the christians keep referring to although none of them can really explain what it signifies and what it does for them.
Boris Johnson’s argument that Obama had it in for the British due to his Kenyan heritage was probably off the mark for Obama himself, but it would be spot on for much of the rest of the commonwealth population. And having acknowledged that, how could he go on to argue that these same people would help you out once you leave the EU?

That's just the sort of violent thuggery I would expect of a leave voter

Apparently, Mr Farage was supposed to be on telly tonight to be sneered at by Jeremy Paxman, but for unknown reasons he's bottled it.
Hasn't his whole political life been spent pushing for this referendum? You'd think he would at least put the effort in on tonight of all nights.
How can we arrange for people to do chicken noises behind his back, whenever he is out in public, for the rest of his life?
Asking for a friend, obviously. -

Vote leaves says the eu relies on the UK and Germany head of industry called for a free trade agreement.
Thoughts? Can UK has its Schwarzwald torte and eat it?

Well the UK forms a pretty significant chunk of GDP

Although my understanding was the the UK was a net importer, so I'm not sure how that claim is accurate.

Although without the precise statement from Leave I can't vouch for anything else.

Feel dirty. I know I should check both sides but if arseholes start woth the 350 million claim (debunked) and immigrants!!! my instinct just isn't "I vote with these guys" :)

Unfortunately for the Leave campaign, German Industry isn't in charge of deciding whether we would get a free trade deal or what the terms of it would be. It would have to be ratified by all 27 states and it's pretty unlikely they'll be wanting to do us any special favours.

I think one thing the exit lot have overlooked is that if we leave, there will be a load of EU immigrants in our country who are suddenly even more foreign than they were before.
