Paperwork also costs money, as it costs time. As others here said, goods are a hassle but loss of regulatory harmonization on services is going to really hit some industries.

Some good news perhaps for the EU in UK, and UK in EU people. I won't hold my breath though...it still needs more progress to get there.
Re a lorry driver not wanting competition, I don't quite get it. Unless everyone is on contracts, and easy to get rid of.
Companies tend to keep contracted employees if they are good. But if you are a freelancer I can imagine it's a threat. And unemployment and reschooling...good luck :(

Ain't it a shame that certain people don't listen to their betters any longer:

Are there any advantages if the UK leaves the EU, but stays in the EEC?
My simple brain just thinks nothing is gained by it, but loss of euro clearings is bound to follow and the UK will have less of a say.

It's not helped by the fact that a lot of the "betters" turn out to be crooks.
Work groups like citizen groups where people get facts from a variety of groups and choose options (prefered, second) can work reasonably well though.

That's just what you want me to think and I'm not having any of it.

Ten Conservative MPs and one DUP MP voted that Davis was not in contempt of parliament, hours after the Brexit secretary said that there had been “no systematic impact assessment” of leaving the EU. Eight opposition MPs voted against.
Unbelievable. The defence being that because they didn't exist, he's not in contempt for not providing them, even though he said they did exist. Bunch of cunts.

I believe a few MPs have followed up with the Speaker on this. I don't know what that means - assume it'll be some arcane / procedural version of 'nevermind, eh?', but Davis is still slightly on the hook.

His tetchy "look, I've got somewhere more important to be? Right? cunts?" exit showed his attitude towards the whole thing really.

Yes, but I think Bercow said he was going to follow the guidance from the Brexit committee, so doubt anything more will be done. Maybe they'll get him for lying in the first place, but not enough seem that bothered.
It's almost as if, however much of a clusterfuck the tories are making of this, no-one else wants to have a go. Never mind the country, let's keep our careers safe. -

This is well written and, I think, clear;

If this is true, it’ll have the hard core Brexiteers foaming at the mouth;

The EU are expert trolls. One of the negotiating team just tweeted this.

Bet that’s gone down well with the DUP.

ha!
So either there's been a breakthrough in negotiations, or it's a statement re: May's leadership.
/edit - should have read the news before posting.

Wait, the news doesn't say anything except there will be no border. what's actually been agreed?
I was listening to it, I've only heard this one so I don't know what the others have been like.
However, it would have been a much more interesting show if he'd actually been asked some questions other than "do you think there'll be any impact?" and then allow him to say "nah" completely unchallenged and without context.
i.e. "WTO terms will increase your material costs by 14% and then add 23% to the sales price of your goods, to your main markets - what sort of impact will that have on sales and overall margins?"
