the posters names and photo titles so people can look back
the idea being: having it all in front of you in one post, so you don't have to go back to the original post for each single image

Ok guys great @moocher and @mashton
I've updated the rules, please read them. Especially rule #1.
Rules:
Photos must be taken during the week of the challenge. No photos from you archive allowed.
You can submit a picture up until midnight on the Sunday, voting will then run on Monday until 10pm at which point I'll count up the votes and announce the winner. The winner will then pick the next category and count the votes for the following week.
One entry allowed per person per week.
A title, description and the theme for the week e.g., "Architecture" and date of submission should be included in the entry.
Images should be embedded in the thread rather than linked.
Editing and Photoshop allowed but please be honest about what has been done.
Comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
Cheers,
Mike

Great idea. Kick up the arse to get out and shoot and an excuse to spend hours dicking about with Lightroom.

Gutted but OK.

A suggestion
4 A title and description + the theme for the week e.g., "Architecture" and date of submission ,should be included in the entry.
...otherwise, anyone who wants to enter mid-week has to trawl back through the thread to find the original post that specified the theme for the week. Since there's bound to be loads of discussion of the theme it would be useful just to be able to look for the most recent image.

Sorry man, good excuse to shoot more!

do hashtags actually work for searching on microcosm? If so, all submissions could be tagged with something (e.g. #architecture ) to help people find all the relevant submissions?
@Velocio has a thread on here called "things that can be done with search" or some such but I'm on my phone so it's a bit of a faff.

Ok guys, please read the rules in the OP before posting and this weeks theme is Architecture or #Architecture.
-
• #63
Yep hashtags work. Good call.

I took some photo's on Sunday which are at the developers today that fit Architecture. However, will they not count because I took them on Sunday? Or are we allowing wiggle room for development time?
-
• #65
That would appear to work, if I click the hyper linked hash-tag it takes me to a search page with all the uses of the hash-tag.
-
• #66
Aye we'll give you that one :)
It's not going to be a frequent issue as I can't imagine there will be that many people taking photos on film the week previous that will coincide with the subject of the current week.

..works even better if you do the search in this thread, not forum-wide, but hashtags suck anyway, soon it'll look like twitter in here.
Can't see why it'd be so difficult to find out what the theme of the week is, all you have to do is go back one or two pages most likely, which one will do anyway I guess as it's interesting to see what the others have posted so far?

Yeah Tina, I'm not wanting rule overload so going to leave it as it. If people want to use hash-tags that's fine with me.
I'm just thinking about what I'm going to shoot now!

Ha! Not casting aspersions on (y)our lovely forum :-) More exposing my ignorance about what a hashtag was actually for... other than a convenient way of making the text turn blue for emphasis.
-
• #71
It was never used in anger, the hashtag stuff... so if you do find issues with it let me know and I'll make it better.

Here's my submission for the week. Prob won't have better weather or much time to take much more this week so...took this today.
