Taken with my LG G4. Slightly posted to set levels.
This is part of the city wall of Worcester, with the modern library in the background.

Not to be that guy but...
4.A title, description and the theme for the week e.g., "Architecture" and date of submission should be included in the entry.

I genuinely can't be sure what perspective this was taken from, and I love it. Is it looking up some stairs in front of you, or looking down onto some stairs from above? Frankly, I don't want to know!

phew it's not just me then !

My bet is looking down from above. You can see the other stair going down on the left.

I've been thinking Architecture ... but don't have a shot yet.
I did snap this on my phone during monday's golden hour.

this is needless.

The date is needless, since that is in the post metadata and is searchable.
The hashtag idea seems pretty good to me.

This could of been a cracking shot with better composition and thought.

love the bird shit ... it just makes the photo

I disagree - I think it adds to post and it also means 'old weeks' are indexed without the need for pages of scrolling.

I like the idea of a title as it might help show the thought process of the person taking the shot.

Yeah, I think in the context of this thread, titles are necessary but I've never used titles before, other than rudimentary descriptions on flickr. They have too much influence on how people view the image, IMO.

titles are a bourgeois affectation

The best camera is one you have on you.
And you could still make that a good pic with an iPhone. -

It's a good idea and is both bleak but with humour.
If I had to nit-pick, I'd say the framing doesn't make the most of the subject and makes it less effective. Also, there seems to be motion blur as if it was taken mid-stride.
I think it would benefit from either being shot straight on or just higher, from an angle, like you've done but centred vertically. This is purely meant as constructive criticism so please don't feel as if we're flaming you!

Yeah all of this.
What are you trying to show? get to the heart of it!
This is what I would have done.
Then opened in PS and worked the fuck out of it (but not as much HDR as other posts)
Sharpen in LAB.
Lil bit of grain.
Bobs ya uncle.
