Miche are Heavy..
-
• #28
Yeah i know.. and shitiest wheelset i've ever ridden.. but i had them laying around so for now they are going to do the job
-
• #29
I don't think you know how to weight weenie. And why do you think the miche wheels are shit?
-
• #30
Sorry if you got me wrong. this is going to be a daily bicycle which going to be as light as possible without compromising its rigidity.
As I understand miche skould be cheap beater wheels but if beater wheels can't withstand the winter they are shit. I had to replace two spokes, rear bearings, and i should replace all axles and nuts after winter which was not even harsh this year. So those wheels did not passed my tests. -

Sorry if you got me wrong.
Kanye, is that you?

So i built it and it seems you were right I have no idea how to weight weenie :/ it weighs a 7,8kg.
Still waiting for seatpost adapter to fit full carbon saddle, lighter seatclamp and I still need to get carbon rims and lace them to my mack hubs.

Well if anything it looks cool as heck. As you said it's gotta be a practical daily bike, you'd save some if you went with other wheels and tubs for example.
-
• #34
Even with the light wheels it won't be under 7kg

its just a £200 dolan mate no matter what cranks you put on it.

It is easier to damage the frame than other components that is why i use cheap frame and expensive components.

Lol

OOOF!
-
• #41
Where do you get that fact from?
Drop your bike on the floor. See which bit hits the ground... bars? pedals? saddle?
Not the frame...
-
• #42
A head on collision is more likely to damage the frame or fork than the crankset/finishing kit
-
• #43
Experience.
I have extraordinary skills to beat the shit out of the frame/fork. -
• #44
LOL!
Of course that's the case.
Crash a $100 bike and a $1000 bike head on and they're both gonna suffer.
Casual everyday wear and tear from knocks and bumps? That's gonna be the extremities. If you're buying cheap frames in case you might have a head-on crash you're losing at HHSB.
-
• #45
you're losing at HHSB.
oh well..
-
• #46
Easier to treat your bike right and not drop it on its extremities than to avoid a head on collision
-
• #47
It is a really nice and reliable frame and i don't want/need any other. And i would choose it over any Cinelli or other frame in a same price range.

Hey man, did you find your seta stiff or a bit flexy?
-
• #49
Seta was very flexy actually. Pre cursa is a bit stiffer in bb area.
