Farewell BDW.
A top forumenger whose posts I always enjoyed.

I think the same. Already considered making it darker somehow... but when I do that it looks neon (black background, black logo, light grey trim on the logo).

The forum is now the correct level of black. Which is to say, it can't go more black, which is the least I can do to honour the man.

devastated to hear this. rest in peace wayne.

You realise he wouldn't approve.
Totally ruins the font of the logo.

• #166
I have my black on black CUTTERS tee on in memoriam.
-
• #167
He'd approve of a slightly grey logo making it look like it was embossed however, lose the keyline.

I'd fix it - slag off designers, make some comment about going outside the lines and Comic Sans is all anyone needs and he'd chuckle and slag me off and tell me I should stick to wrestling crocs or something else bogan.

Fuck, No.
Others have been more eloquent than I.RIP Wayne

Fixed.
He hated it when I made changes like this.
He had this little anecdote he'd remind me of, about first impressions and shipping things less than perfect. About (metaphorically) walking to the shops in PJs and meeting a client there, how you cannot undo that impression, so you cannot present design badly at any time and if it's not ready he wasn't going to give me the work to release, and that could I please not make changes and iterate publicly... which I still do. But of course, he'd end it with a "It's up to you Boss, you're the gaffer." because he was like that.

Oh fuck, I just laughed out loud at that.
And my workmate turned and said, "What you laughing at?", so my reply was, "Well, a friend died the other day"... and I was going to finish that sentence with "and he was such a funny fucker, and people are sharing some of the things he posted"... but there was no point, damage done, my workmate now thinks I am a sick bastard.
Thanks Big Daddy Wayne!
