I've got a 27.5 mtb on order at the moment. I think its time to accept it won't be very long before I end up replacing the frame with a Ritchey. So good.

I had an On One Inbred 29er, which is shit. Thought, "life's too short to ride this pile of crap", and moved all the bits onto a Ritchey P29er frame. My world is now a better place.

How long is a piece of string...?
Excluding the frame cost itself and you're looking at stuff which is new / nearly new, you should estimate wheels from £150 upwards, groupset £250 upwards, then you'd only need finishing kit - could be scrabbled around for less than £100 if you weren't picky, but again you could spend ten times that.
Plus if you don't have much experience building bikes up, allow £80 - £100 for a bike shop to put it together for you (you may be able to do without this if you are quite handy).

thanks @andyfallsoff!
I like to think of myself as an amateur. I can do most repairs. Gear indexing and bottom brackets I'm not so versed in. I'm sure I can cobble most of it together and leave the final bits to the bike shop.
Now to just figure out what size frame would suit. I am always in between sizes. :)
That looks fun!
