  • Yeah I'm sure you would hate to miss out on a purchase as much as I would hate to miss out on a sale if it was down to measuring from different places!

    Will add a pic shortly.

    Thanks

    Dave

  • I just learnt an important lesson when measuring the time frame for someone.

I am a little embarrassed that I didn't know this but when I loosened the Allen bolts on the seatmast cap it has a small seatpost attached to clamp that can increase the height by a further 11cm!

Measurement from centre bb to top of mast with no post inserted is 70cm with an additional 11cm available inside the seat tube!

    Can't believe I never knew!

    Cheers

    Dave

  • Update as had to check my French.

The max output mark is as shown so can add an extra 35mm to the 700mm measurement which is to where tape is shown in pic so even more mm as I have not measured to include the rail clamp at all.

  • clear now ! if anyone is interested here stands my Time First built up, apart from the isp the geo is pretty similar http://www.lfgss.com/conversations/275629/#comment12557017

  • That TIME is really nice and my size - but I've just got a new road bike within the past month - must resist!

Out of interest why are you keeping the LOOK 566 - it's a great bike and all that - I've loved riding mine for the past few years but I wonder what it does that the various BMCs, TIME, Ti bikes don't do. Is it due to the campag build and the symmetry of having 2 x LOOKs in the stable - or something else?

  • Ha ha, you cracked the ocd code!

4 bianchis and 2 looks makes the voices in my head quieter!

To be honest the 566 is the training bike and felt the others too good and valuable to use for that purpose.

Also has to be European frame to use campy doesn't it or those voices get loader!

As such it was the BMC or 566 for the trainer.

    Cheers

    Dave

  • Very good!

I do like mine - it's very comfy and light enough but I fear it's not going to get used much having just taken delivery of a new FOCUS with discs - stiffer and more stable if perhaps a bit heavier in it's current spec - soon to be fixed with some new wheels - if so my Look may be looking for a new home.

Good luck with the sales and I hope you don't regret parting with them too much.

  • Cheers I can always replace them if I miss them too much ;-)
