nice. planning to add decals?
-

Yes, I'm waiting on them coming in the post.. I took note of the positions and sizes and redrew all the original 2014 CDF decals, so can put it back to OEM, sort of .. they will be black..

should look amazing. how are you having the decals produced? vinyl cut?
it's a shame you can't get grey wall tyres for a full monochrome build. -

I'm tempted to build my equilibrium disc back up (yellow, the same year as yours) by transplanting the parts from my pinnacle dolomite which I hardly ever ride, although it seems a bit counterintuitive to build up a heavier frameset.

This is great. Funnily enough i was initially trying to find a cheap cdf frame that needed powder coating so i could choose the colour. I ended up finding a pretty flawless gold frame for peanuts though...
I'm keen on the grey - I think it suits this kind of bike

Thanks.. I had the SRAM built onto the equilibrium, but it was just sitting there doing nothing.. so this will be my sort of go to bike.. decals to come on clear backing, so will see what they look like when applied.. this is it beside my car, so it's a bit lighter in colour than I hoped, but happy enough..

Love the gold.

Oh yeah it is a bit darker. I reckon the lighter shade probably works better on a bike though. But yeah, not sure about the gold bolts :-)

• #161
Nah, black if you're really keen on something other than silver imo.
Domed heads on the ones not in use would be a nice touch though. -

gold bolts look a bit plastic-y - keep it black

Like the colour a lot. Love this thread, giving me ideas for my CDF.
Ace work on the decals as well.

Took it out this morning for a pointless 17 mile commute back to the house.. this involved 1500ft climbing and about 7 miles of fire trails.. although I've had the bike and ridden it before, this was the first time with the hunt wheels and the 47mm tyres.. also a clean groupset always helps..

Uh! Grub screws is a really good idea for unused eyelets!

I think they are 5mm deep, so should do the bottom rack mounts too.. 50 of them for £1.72 from aliexpress so hard to beat..

The bike looks great too!
How tall are you and what size is this?

cheers - may well pick up some of these at some point for my cdf.
Started to built it up straight after tea.. the 1x groupset builds up very fast as there is only one cable and the cockpit was complete.. Headtube and BB needed a bit of cleaning out, but not too bad.. I had sent the frame to paint will old bolts in all the holes, so they just needed removed..
