  • Yeah, he asked me to send my frame back to him as well. After getting a colleague to send a message to him in Polish, he said he'd pay for a local frame builder to sort it. In the end, I couldn't be bothered. The issue I had (bosses being brazed on too low down the seat tube) was resolved by simply buying a different mech clamp which will sit behind the bottle cage if that makes sense.

  • Got an email from Rychtarski today regarding the frame
    "Hello Ilia,

We are very sorry for all inconvenience.
Unfortunately in this situation we cannot help you.
Cost of transport and repairing is too high for us.
If our product does not satisfy your needs you can turn it back and we will send you the money you pay for it.
We will try to arrange a spedition to take it back. If not we will ask you to send it on our cost back to us. Then we will send you your money.

Once more sorry for all trouble.

    Best regards,
    Tomasz"

  • So...send it back to get your money, then just ask him to make exactly the same frame with the money? Or go to Orlowski

  • Wack phone photo of my current setup. 28 rear/25 front and double guards were great in the rain today. Front kind of rubs and im not sure how to stop it. Such a versatile frame though:

  • 'Versatile'

  • Brake, 28s F+R for winter and risers or tight clearance with 25s+woundups and drops for brakeless fixie skidding. Ive ridden pretty much everything on this (including some light DH) and it performs brilliantly

  • Am baffled at brklz fxy skdr with mudguards.

  • I have achieved zen with the road...but dont want to get a soggy bum

  • Did you cut the end of that rear fender off? Looks dope. Is it still functional though?

  • Snapped off when a friend lifted the bike 90 degrees onto its back wheel. Theyre very brittle. Seems to work fine though

  • whoa rly nice colour on that green

  • wow thats really weird, i wouldn't have expected that from them. the fact he doesnt seem to really want to rectify it seems a bit awful aswell, i feel sorry for you

someone mentioned consistency in his work, anybody have any examples of other issues or problems?

  • well negaatio didn't get what he paid for with the front tyre clearance and had to buy another fork.

i'd send the frame back for a refund and order from orlowski. i'm a happy customer of said workshop and atleast i know if something wasn't right i'd get it fixed.

  • Hi all thanks for all your concerns. Took the frame today to a very respectful frame builder in our area for straightness check , and he checked the frame on alignment table and all the measurements were perfect. The dropouts were perfectly parallel to each other, center of the hub correlate to the center of the hub. So it turns out that the asymmetric chain stay its only a cosmetic issue with the frame. I am very happy with the end results.

  • might limit the tyre clearance, hopefully not in a meaningful way

good thing it isnt as bad as it seemed first!

  • will it not cause issues with the chain line?

  • if the rear end of the frame is in line with the bb shell, not. It seems that the non-drive-side chainstay was connected to the bb shell in a slightly wrong angle.

  • I can't believe he didn't see that? It's quite obvious. But I'm happy for you that it's still rideable, hopefully you don't have any problems with the chainstay hitting your tyre..

  • Yeah, i'd get money back and get one from orlo instead. Lately rychtarski's work hasn't been very impressive...

  • Got home yesterday started to assemble the frame and had a new issue with the bottom bracket.
I have a bb30 Bottom bracket shel on the frame. I got an Wheels MFG outboard bottom bracket, it turns out that the non drive side cap enters without the need of force to press it in.
What do you think a bout that?
please see attached link that I made with a short video clip.

  • send it back

  • post it back, u paid with paypal right?

  • what the fuck has gone on there

  • damn, everyone raving about Rychtarski a couple of months ago. Count myself very lucky I have one without issues I think..

with his recent track record you would have to be quite brave to order
