Decent

Velo Orange 52mm or Gilles Berthoud.

Disc brake frame is fine, you just need to bend the stay carefully, or use a longer bolt and washer.

Cheapest/bestest/most value for money 650b rim? For disc brake.

Just bought a pair of SL23s from the Panceti Cycle Designs website, $40 a pop, that's pretty Damn good value.

Wow! Any reason not to get a pair of these??? Great value!

Only one is that it's very heavy for a 650b rims with no braking surface despite the fact it's on par with most 700c rims with braking surface.
Smaller rims = lighters.
ZTR Crest is 355g for example.

Thinking SL23 for road tyres and the above for knoblies. I can sacrifice some weight for that price.
-
• #71
One for disc and one for rims brakes?
Go for it, unless it's on the same bike, just go for the DT Swiss, smallest 650b road tyres are about 32mm.

Thanks for answers @Gandalf @umop3pisdn. I'll look into it.

Was going to put some baby shoe pass on decent rims and knoblies on the DT Swiss. Easy switch around and disc brakes. (Yeah mudguards I know... But what Eva)

If you're gonna get two rims, then it might be better to get the lightweight one that's also wide instead of two different wheelset.

I'd go for the Crest if you can afford 4 rims, then best to buy the best one you can afford and leave it at that.
Crest is 355g, wide for knobbies and perfect with the Babyshoe Pass.
Will keep that in mind, cheers.
